Xgorton has citycard news

Surely this can't be right about having to pay for live4city members as well on the Blue membership scheme now?

I thought City were all for encouraging kids to go to their 'family friendly' club? This is enough to kill it off! Its a joke, there will be far less in the family stand if they are doing this! How do they expect families to afford all these membership cards and then buy tickets for games, not everyone is made of money!

I'm not happy about it at all and will be emailing the club to find out about it.

they could have binned this idea and just threw a couple of pounds onto the price of a ticket. this will put people off.

Well I'm not understanding this. What exactly is priority, they don't say? Last season Citycard holders priority was about four hours in front before they put them on general sale on the majority of games. Wow!

Does this mean if I get the 'add on' which will cost me £25 and my nephew who can't go to many games as he doesn't live near me a £10 Blue card I will have to wait until tickets come available until he meets the criteria? And will he get loyalty points still? Looks like it does when I read it again.

The site doesn't exactly explain it well. It doesn't even mention anything about the old live4city members in the first place?

Let's remember that this is all speculation at the moment - but the lack of communication from the box office certainly doesn't help any.

Our box office is renowned for cock-ups. Just look at the Wembley fiascos and let's not mention the 'homecoming' one.

Now we have 2 old cards (possibly 3) merged in to 1 - and 1 old card split in to 3!

FFPR doesn't help the situation - but with the naming rights already sorted, this can no longer be used as an excuse.

It's only a membership by name, in reality it's an access card, so thought maybe it was just a one off fee to get the card.

Can't see them not having paper tickets, I'm just going to go for those and use mates season tickets when they can't go. Doesn't matter if I don't rack up any loyalty points as I've already accepted I won't be getting tickets for the big games.

If you bite the bullet and pay for your Blue Membership with add ons then you can get tickets for the bigger matches.

Possibly. I'll probably wait and see what ticket prices and availability are like, but already reckon I'll be going to less games this season than I have done in the past.
