What's in the membership pack? Not sure to add it or not lol

Iv been asking myself the same question, why would i buy something i know nothing about, there is no information anywhere on the MCFC website.

Im also a member of the SC, and will pay the extra for priority booking just to make sure i can get a seat in the South Stand, im just finding all these add ons for all cards a bit stupid and much preferred the simplified version when everyone knew the entitlements.

I cant see many paying the extra £15 for online magazines or £15 for online programmes the internet is awash with up to the minute information.

Am I right in thinking this blue membership is the same as last season's access card and it's a fee per season, not a one of fee?

Unless i've read it wrong , i see it as bein' something like this .......

it's all about rakin' in more income for the club on a seasonal basis .....

it would appear that both the Citycard and the free accesscard have been scrapped and replaced by this 'Blue Membership' , which is basically gonna cost you a tenner , but is apparently gonna be made available with a variety of 'optional costed extras' .... but only the 'top' additon , which includes match ticket priority , is argueably any good , but it will depend on your preferences.

By making free accesscard members of old sign up for the Blue membership , a fee now has to be paid , and the clubs coffers are improved , which is the clubs aim.

And yes , you WILL almost certainly have to pay for the membership EVERY year ...... or it would defeat the clubs object ........ i also cannot see anything mentioned about any 'lifetime membership' of this scheme , so there probably won't be any such thing.

It looks like the basic card costs £10 ..... but there are four 'extras' you can add to it at a cost of £15 each ....... the more extras you opt for the more discount you get ...... so add on 2 extras and you'd save a fiver , three extras and you'd save a tenner etc.

Whichever way you look at it it's all aimed at gettin' more actual income into this club and trying to 'satisfy' these fair play rules in the seasons to come.

Thought so.

Does anyone know if you'll still be able to get the paper tickets that you've been able to get in the past few seasons when games have gone on general sale?

That way I wouldn't have to bother with all this super duper pink & purple membership stuff?

£10 for lifetime membership?

It'll be interesting when Champions League matches don't sell and Mr Tourist + 3 Friends fancy going. £40 up front before they even get to buy seats?

well done City for making it more difficult and expensive to get match tickets - sure this wil put lots off going

The upshot' of the whole thing is that you are absolutely right , it almost certainly will put some people off going .... and there are many , who probably got used to the free accesscards , who may be put off even applying for tickets now ...... and even more so should the last gasp 'paper tickets' vanish too , which were often available when games didn't sell out.

But the club are caught between the 'devil and the deep blue sea' ..... and they are trying to maximise their income , which is absolutely essential now , in view of Platinis rules ....... and even if UEFA give our naming rights plan the grren light , we will still need MORE annual income!

And to be honest i think that the clubs probably feel that getting 'hospitality' on board , in even greater numbers ' is the most important thing now ..... and the ordinary fan in the street appears to carry even lesser importance as the years go by.

Having just ordered a Blue Membership and paid for the "priority booking" option I contacted the club about what will happen with regard to Live 4 City membership. I received the response that the Live 4 City sceme has now been scrapped and the cards should be cut up. If I want my children to attend games with me they too will have to join the Blue Membership for £25 each.

Anyone heard anything different about junior membership or has it all been scrapped now?

Totally different information to what I was given. I emailed the club and was told that they are looking at new membership options but in the meantime my sons Live4City membership would still be valid until the new scheme is announced and would therefore still qualify him to apply for match tickets.

Felt like that after final as well, have renewed Blue with priority as can't be member of SC without it
Since when? AFAIK all SC branches accept members regardless of their 'card' status.

I know Ashton-under-Lyne have members that don't have any kind of card.

This does NOT mean that those members can get tickets though. Tickets are limited to Season and 'City' card members only (no 'Access' card members could apply for them).

What does confuse me though is how does a branch now know whether someone 'qualifies' for a ticket or not? Does the Citycard replacement 'Blue' have something different on it than the Accesscard 'Blue'? Seasoncard holders who paid an extra £50 got a new colour card - Platinum. Why not do the same again for these 2?

Our ticket office, yet again, make the simple task of attending a game a nightmare. Superbia, Platinum, Gold, Value Gold, Blue - all crappy names IMHO. Especially as everyone is used to Season, City, Access, Live4City [which is an Access].

As for the '£10 to watch quality players' comments. Accesscard holders watched quality players last season (and the season before). Now you have to pay £10 to buy ticket to watch Clichy and Savic (and maybe Aguero and Nasri). In fact, if you were at the Arsenal home game - you've already seen 2 of them ;)

To sum it up: They've merged Accesscard and Citycard in to Blue - but split Seasoncard in to Black, Plat and Gold! Could only be City ;)
