A years extension on reduced terms wouldnt be the worst idea depending on his peformance from now until the end of the season

Daft not to. Who else has the ability to pass like that in a deep midfield role, who is almost never ruffled or harried off the ball and always measured in his choices? Fernando? Of course we should keep him. At least until a quality replacement is found.

Just wonder if it's case of 'not knowing what you've lost until it's gone,' on both sides?
I think not playing has given Yaya his appetite back. Whether that's also been driven by a lack of interest from so called 'top clubs', is open for debate. Maybe he's trying to prove a point to Guardiola and these other clubs that he's far from finished? Either way we are seeing a great player controlling games again.
However I also know when he eventually goes I for one will be sorry to see the player leave. Watching him brush aside opposition players is a joy. Watching him smash a ball at Silva, De Bruyne and Aguero, because he knows they have the touch to control it, is a amazing.
Whatever your thoughts we will never see a player like him again in a City shirt again.

I'm pleased he is having a good last year with us. He's been such a great player that I didn't want my last memories of him as he's been for the last two years.
