Yaya-Keep or Sell?

I think he wants to leave and City want that to happen as well. If the club is only interested to sell him and Yaya won't lower his salary, the only option I can see is China unless he wants to join another PL-team.

Not looking good for flogging him to Inter
should have shipped him last summer, he had everything agreed with Inter and Inter was going to pay us some money as well! Putting all eggs on the Pogba basket last summer has really cost us. Unless China comes in for him or another PL team, think we are stuck with him and his huge wages for another season... Which could hamper our transfer plans.

"Snog, marry or avoid" would be the better question.

Avoid, in case you're wondering.

One of the best players in recent time. Sell for reasons of passing beyond his peak of significantly influencing games. Before he becomes remembered for being a liability, best be remembered as the man mountain.

City are asking as much as €15m (£11.5m) for Yaya Touré, despite the Ivorian recently turning 33. [Tuttosport]

Good luck Txiki getting that sum

To be fair he would almost certainly drag Inter into the CL.

His legs might not be up to the standard of the PL but he would still tear up Serie A.

He's a winner and a serial big game player as well as being a huge name. He'd be a fantastic signing for any Italian or Chinese side.

If he agrees to only be used as a super-sub joker, then keep him.
But i don't think his ego would allow it, so indeed, time to bid farewell to this living legend. I will deeply miss our colossus.
People will only realize the void that will take place once he leaves, even if Pogba comes along.

Well, no. That colossus went a year or two ago and we've got used to the void in the meantime.

I'd like him to go to a turkish club.
He'd bring the place to a standstill (no irony intended), they'd idolise him, then wonder why he's stood in the middle of the pitch sscratching his arse ,then refuse to pay him.

Please do it City!!...time for him to move on!!

Yaya Toure has been offered two £300,000-a-week deals in China to join either Shanghai SIPG or Jiangsu Suning. [The Sun]

Both Chinese clubs are also willing to offer Toure a £20m signing-on fee if he joins. Yaya's representatives have met both. [The Sun]

City have been told by Toure’s camp that he wants to leave on a free or he will buy himself out of his contract for around £10m. [The Sun]

A move to Shanghai SIPG could see him remain as part of the "family". Think they may become part of CFG in the not too distant future.

So Chinese clubs are willing to pay him £20m signing-on fee and £300,000-a-week !

Why don't they give us the 20m and take Yaya ?

I am sure Yaya will be happy with 300k a week.

anyone else think that pep might keep him for another year, utilise him a hell of a lot more than pellegrini did? if we did get gundagun, kroos and another, maybe a genius like pep could get yaya working in a system that benefits us?

I really dont believe Yaya has anything left in the tank....He's now at that point in his career where a move to a slower league would be the best thing to help prolong his career...If anything Pep's system calls for more movement/quicker players......Time to sell Yaya was last year and keeping him around would only make things worse

Getting £10m (from buyout) represents a great piece of business for City and of he goes to China there is no chance of him coming back to bite us on the arse ,win win for City. This is the road we should push Yaya down
