The article says he wants a 12 month extension. Frankly at the level he's playing now it would be ludicrous to let him go. He was more important than anyone else on the pitch for how we played on Saturday, without Yaya that performance doesn't happen.
There is no more aggressive, high pressing team than Spurs in the league, and his age most certainly did not show.
Our squads age will reduce by more than 2 years simply with the fact that Willy, Sagna, Zabaleta, Clichy, Navas are all likely to be leaving. Short of buying replacements in their 30's the average age will drop significantly.
We already have Sané, Sterling, Jesus, Iheanacho & Stones 22 or under. We have a bunch of u21 academy players in and around the team who may be promoted, loanees who are doing well enough to be recalled, and under Pep our transfer targets have all been very young (exception Bravo).
If we're not careful we'll swing too far the other way, and we'll lack experienced senior players and leaders.
