It's not sad at all. I look at our current midfield and the way they fight to regain possession, the way they run their arses off with and without the ball, and I don't for one second think "oh, I really miss Yaya Toure strolling around like the lazy shit that he is. And what this game really needs now is Yaya sitting on his arse for a couple of minutes each time he is involved in a 50:50". I'd forgotten we even had him.

SCh, these are his friends you know. It's unlikely they share the fan angst that you see here. They know the guy personally. Some might even thinks he is wrong in trying to undermine the manager, but they realize the situation. They are not going to make a go at their friend in practice over a beef between 2 grown men.
