There's definitely more than a whiff of an approach from another club, I'll bet its not arsenal though.....

He's come out and talked about the possibility of returning to Barcelona on a couple of occasions since being at City. Someone posted earlier that Guillem Balague heard Barca are in for an imposing central midfielder to build their team around next year. Who is the most imposing central midfielder in world football today?

Does anyone know if YaYa bought a tin a Quality Streets to take to Abu Dhabi and share around cos I'm pretty sure that is correct birthday etiquette!

He did and it's because of this that Yaya feels disrespected. Apparently the Sheikh took all the green triangles for himself and then passed the tin round his friends. Yaya got the tin back and there were only toffee pennies left. He was fuming.

£300k a week and he's moaning about not getting a birthday cake. I have not heard so much shit in all my life. this at a time when people are scrimping and saving to renew their season tickets. A complete and utter piss take. no player is bigger than the club/no player should ask or demand special treatment. Balo went, we moved on. tevez went, we moved on. toure can do the same. This isn't over a birthday cake. Nobody's that daft.

People's annoyance is that an agent (and one presumes Yaya himself) have chosen to create a problem in order to express their upset and supposed consideration of leaving. We aren't mugs, it's a crappy excuse / ploy and don't like to be treated as morons. At the end of the day, it's the mark of the man we are discussing.

Of course, there are negotiation tactics, and players can always be on the lookout for improved deals. There ways to go about this. We' probably all still moan a little bit about greed, or not helping City's FFP situation with increased wage demands, but at least it wouldn't be so underhanded.

And if he wants a move, then so be it. Say so. We won't particularly like it, but can come to terms with it. It's just lacking in class to contrive this situation that suggest City don't respect him. It makes a slight mockery of City and to some extent his team mates, but most of all, it makes a mockery of himself.
