People do realise that this latest PSG quote is rehashed shit that was published in France Football six months ago!
He uses the words "Given the magnificent season Manchester City HAVE HAD, everyone talks to me and everything is open. My agent, Dimitry, is hanging on the telephone and he knows what he has to do, I have complete confidence in him."

If these were his words six months ago, they would be wrong as the season was only mid-season at that time.

Re: Yaya Toure

Send him to New York City on loan for the rest of his contract or on tell he see's the error of his ways and publicly apologizes, buy Vidal and play Fernandinho in the the Yaya role. if we get Fernando then it could work with him too

Re: Yaya Toure

So; it'll be an honour to play for PSG then, would it? well; fuck off and play for them then. Mind the door doesn't hit you on the arse on the way out.

"Would I go to Italy? City are a great team. We have just won the Premier League, we want to do better in the next Champions League.

"But I have always thought it would be nice to experience Italy. When, I do not know."

Dzeko has just said words to the affect of what Toure has said...
And Milner hasn't exactly come out and said he's committed to the club in recent weeks either.

Toure's story has just been allowed to boil which means that people looking to be MORALLY OUTRAGED have jumped on it.
To be fair to Dzeko he was giving an interview to an Italian media outlet (of whatever description) so he only said what you'd expect given the questioner and the target audience. He's hardly going to say Italy's crap, why would I want to go there. No comparison to what's coming out of the mouth of the idiot representing Yaya let alone what's not coming out of Yaya's mouth.

Re: Yaya Toure

If he really wanted to go to war, he could always try the Webster ruling?

Not sure on the criteria but it would cost £36m for Toure to buy out the remainder of his contract.

Perhaps that would be the rule of thumb in terms of interested clubs placing a valuation?

If he complains about a refusal to budge on our own price, we can be sure to remind him how highly we rate him.

The irony of it all!

Re: Yaya Toure

Here is my take on this sorry episode for what it's worth.....he will still be here next season and he will leave at the end of next season for a paltry fee of around £10mill....I am basing this on the comparisons to the Tevez debacle, he and his twat kicked up a fuss stayed another year then toddled at a very reasonable transfer fee.....Yaya and his twat are just following The Tevez and his twats play book

I am probably wrong though and my over active imagination is playing tricks on me and he goes after the World Cup to Barca for £30mill

Rather than 'precious' i think its more the case that people are proud and protective of the club they love, when someone attempts to take the piss,or cause it hurt, then that person is correctly lambasted imo.

Re: Yaya Toure

The comments carried in France Football are harmless

I don't know how many times I have heard players say that one day it would be an honour to play for XXX

Happens all the time.

Taken together with the agents other comments it's a bit more concerning. But I still think this topic is a huge over reaction. Even if he is looking at moving, he's under contract. He's entitled to assess his future and who he plays for.

I have no problem with anything that's in France Football. I have just had a look at it. The previous comments by his agent are a disgrace, but he has done that before

And it turned out that the Tweets were not made by him so I think the reaction is over done. Reserve judgement

If it's to be on our terms, it will be this summer.

12 months of speculation and half-arsed performances does us greater harm.

In terms of posters being accused of being precious, I would simply ask how precious do you feel Sheikh Mansoor needs to be?

He has paid this twat handsomely and yet been accused of treating him like a piece of meat, who never even had the decency to make a fuss of him in Abu Dhabi.

The only person precious in all of this is Toure, who will now forever be stigmatised as such.

When the disrespect is the fact that someone hasn't actually said a word ... then I see it as precious.

We have had players in the past who seriously disrespected us but this is just laughable.

Re: Yaya Toure

I think one or both of the two Spanish lads or even Khaldoon, should go out and have it out with him if there is a problem sort it ,if it is beyond surmountable then we have to let him go ,a unhappy player is a bad apple in the dressing room, Pellegrini to his credit has made it a happier place to be Toure as good as he CAN be cannot be allowed to bring bad blood All the players talked about the benefit of having a happy camp as a reason why we won it I trust the owners to make the right call on this one

If we're that concerned by what his agent says we'd have never have signed him in the first place as he was very dismissive of MCFC when our interest in Toure was first made known

Re: Yaya Toure

We will never get 40m + for a 31 year old.

I reckon if someone puts 30/35m on the table he is gone, excellent player but the hassle isn't worth it.

If we don't give him what he wants then he will inevitably put up a fuss next season, destroy the dressing room and perform poorly.

Sometimes you just have to let go.

The fact he hasn't said a word is what is aggravating people.

Toure has been treated like a God by club and fans and yet he is content to let his agent cause disruption and mischief by bad mouthing us,Toure could easily have put all this to bed while at the same time returning some of that respect and loyalty.......

can you not see the problem here?

Re: Yaya Toure

I am so angry at this selfish, ungrateful piece of shite I could scream. When he was warming Barcas bench and being played out of position we went in for him and paid a large fee that many criticised.

As far as I am concerned he can fuck off I do not want to see him here next season and I will never wear his shirt again. Talk about humiliating us and disrespecting our owners. I don't care how good he is get rid of him now.

Like you say, players often say how they would like to play somewhere else ONE DAY, and as someone a couple of pages back says, Dzeko says it himself. Aguero said something once about wanting to end his career in Argentina, and I don't find anything wrong about this if players are using words like "End career" or "One day." In this case though, Following Borat's outburst, Yaya goes on to say that his agent is "Hanging on the telephone" and "He knows what he has to do" followed by "I have complete confidence in him." If this isn't a blatant attempt to force a move then I don't know what is.

Re: Yaya Toure

I take it the last 30 pages are just people venting their anger and that nowt new has been said by his madcap agent or Yaya himself that weren't quotes from 6 months ago.
