Re: Yaya Toure

I was beginning to fear this thread had ran out of steam, but just when you think everyone has had their say (some more than once, but with the same point?).................

.....We go again!

So, to recap on 500+ pages;

Ya Ya didn't get a cake off the sheik
his agent's a snake
his tweets could be fake
but he will make a statement after the summer break

I am genuinely shocked by how precious some people on here are.

Rather than 'precious' i think its more the case that people are proud and protective of the club they love, when someone attempts to take the piss,or cause it hurt, then that person is correctly lambasted imo.

When the disrespect is the fact that someone hasn't actually said a word ... then I see it as precious.

We have had players in the past who seriously disrespected us but this is just laughable.

Perhaps you'd like to explain how you think the club should handle it instead of making a throw-away remark?

The floor is yours.

When did he say this? One of the tweets said that but you told us earlier that some woman runs his Twitter account.

I'm not suggesting he's not guilty by association before anyone starts, I'd just like to see where Yaya is quoted saying that.

The first tweet was the Brit PR lady, she thought she was doing her job attempting to minimise the fall out from the Sun interview.

It was removed and replaced by Seluk in agreement with Yaya.

Yaya has since reinforced the subsequent tweets by giving a television interview confirming Seluk and he are in constant contact and everything is now "in the open"

So Yaya didn't actually say that? And that tweet has subsequently been removed too....hmmmmm

You really are clutching at straws aren`t you ???

Could reverse that. There's not much to go on, other than Yaya's agent. And is this what some agents tend to do in the close season?

Do nothing. No disrespect has been shown by the player. Therefore the club has made no comment - as they should. Thankfully there is no opportunity for the stupid media to ask stupid questions so the club is in a fine position.

Anyone who feels disrespected by a man being silent is being a bit of a drama queen in my opinion.

His agent is a mental motor mouth and the club may have an issue with him but again silence is the best policy.

If Yaya comes out tomorrow and says he thinks we are a shitty club then we should get our back up but I would be shocked if he ever said anything bad about the club.

Re: Yaya Toure

Yaya Yaya Toure
Yaya Yaya Toure
So before he embarrasses himself anymore
Yaya Ya Toure
I think we should show him the door

You really believe no disrespect has been shown by the player? You cannot see he is using Borat as his proxy and the aforesaid bitch has cynically advised him to remain silent in order to keep all options open?

And the club's strategy should be to wait and see until after the WC?

Just clarifying.

Re: Yaya Toure

He could take off his shirt after scoring to reveal 'come and get me PSG or Barca' during the World Cup and still there'd be apologists for him who claim that his nasty agent told him to wear it!
The same people would probably stick with their missus after finding out she'd been shagging around just because she's a stunner and they don't fancy their chances of pulling someone that fit again.
He's had plenty of opportunity to calm the waters, most notably when appearing with that smarmy **** Richard Keys the other night. The fact he deliberatly stayed quiet on the affair, bar the "after the World Cup" nonsense says everything.
It'll be a sad end for a player whose brought us so much in his time here, but we're no longer the club who relies on a big fat wedge to entice players, we've evolved so much in the last few years that we can offer so much more - if he can't see that or no longer wants to be part of it then so be it.

Re: Yaya Toure

Some of the posts on here are akin to Stockholm syndrome.
Yaya doesn't give a f@ck about the club or fans. It's meal ticket and now he wants a bigger meal.

If we can get 25-35M for him and secure Pogba or Vidal I'll be happy.

The silence is too defening from Yaya hence my refusal to believe he is not involved.

Fine. We differ but that is our right.

Re: Yaya Toure

At best he is a brain dead fool being used by a snake.
At worst......... well.
The truth is somewhere in the middle one imagines.

Whichever scenario you prefer then his position seems untenable.

So sad.

I like this analogy.

Well said mate, I can't believe he dosn't want to leave at least on good terms. At least then he could have one day come back and I reckon he'd recieve a great welcome like the goat does and kinky recently. Not much chance of that happening now and the saddest thing of all is it looks like he dosn't give a fuck

It's not what the agent is saying though, is it?

Yaya is on record as endorsing those ridiculous statements by then stating: "my agent speaks for me."

At what stage do you think it was necessary for Toure to distance himself from these accusations?

Unless you think waiting until after the World Cup is just a happy coincidence?

Seriously, bud, this is high stakes poker at work.

His agent revealed their hand because his bluff has been called.

Yaya is well aware that he kisses goodbye to millions in contractual loyalty payments should he go on the record publicly with such shite.

He's praying the next eight weeks can allow Seluk's dirty work to achieve his aims.

Same reason Kia followed the same method for Tevez.

Difference was, that was mid-season and even he didn't legislate for Carlos doing a bunk.
Interestingly (or not maybe) Tevez's 'agent' like Yaya's is no such thing. Neither are licensed agents with Fifa which means they can never be held accountable for their actions. Licensed agents can be heavily sanctioned by Fifa including having their license revoked.

As things stand, I actually have more respect for Tevez.

At least he had the 'bollocks' to submit an official transfer request.

And its since emerged that Mancini probably did get his wires crossed during that night in Munich, with no player able to back up the manager's claims?

Funnily enough, Toure thought Mancini was great, as he used to indulge him above all others, including Mario.

Perhaps the new regime doesn't feel the necessity to indulge him to that extent?

I said that a few days ago and some ridiculed saying tevez was much worse

I'm with you, at least tevez had the balls to say he wanted away

Shocked there are a few people who are actually standing by him, probably the same naive people who thought sacking Mancini was a mistake.

Yaya..a fanny on the pitch (albeit world class when he wants to be) and it turns out he's a world class fanny off the pitch too
The story of his wife sending him back to John Lewis to return the massive tv seems light years away

Re: Yaya Toure

My first reaction was yaya was lookin for a bigger better deal . But now im not so sure from whats bn said n not said to an extent its lookin like some time this season something has gone wrong between city n yaya . Yaya looks to have bn tap'd up so to speek by some club and now him and his sidekick are now doin the works to push for this move . To me it does'nt look like its psg, monaco as they seem to go about it more quietly this stinks of barca to me with their transfer embargo loomin think they want him back . Personally think he's gone myself its up to city now to get the best deal for us ie be it a swap player plus cash or just cash n go out and try to replace his goals n play from midfield think vidal and ross barkley myself but its goin to be interestin how this pans out.
