They aren't ridiculing the club though, if anything it's all how childish and odd Yaya and his agent have been.

The club's image is taking a hit from Yaya and his agent, nobody else. Even Jamie Redknapp has backed the club.

Also, I fail to see how stating how stupid and disrespectful Yaya and his agent have been makes a huge Yaya fan...

I was being Ironic about the Yaya fan thing but anyhow, the situation is that the agent have said some ridiculous thing in a capacity or circumstance that is not really clear- interview, off the cuff statement, whatever it is, the agent as consistent with their kind have shown great recklessness and disregard for Yaya and the club and has given the media ammunition to run with this and perpetuate the idea in the public about city and the players in the club. Yaya is the one with the egg on his face at the moment but the overarching message pertaining to the club and the media tendency to amplify and spice up nonesense with continuous headlines only worsens and makes everything look worse

Yaya is an important player in the squad, perhaps the greatest player the club has ever signed. I will therefore wait for things to be clear and not let the media pull me here and there with constant inflammatory stories about the incident.
The quotes were not "off the cuff".

The agent arranged an exclusive with a tabloid paper.

2 days have passed and the only response we know of from Yaya is an interview with Bein sports that doesn't deny anything but rather justifies his agent's words and actions.

Yaya has stated that he won't say anything until after the World Cup, that's about 2 months away.. How very nice of him, that's not arrogant at all...

The attention is on Yaya and his agent, he's made himself a easy target. Anything the media has written or portrayed is on Yaya due to the ammunition he has given them, the club has been backed. There's been no hyperbole from the media; this is a big enough story as it is, the fact it's so bizarre means it will gain exposure.

To say "because media" doesn't wash because it doesn't make sense.

The Yaya interview was BEFORE all this happened. It has to be completely discounted, and there's nothing remotely wrong with anything he said.
It's being banded about by a lot of fans as an interview subsequent to the 'cake gate'. This is incorrect.

You sound very Raggish.

You probably called me a rag when I was standing up for Demichelis, or a red cnut when I was supporting Pellegrini earlier in the season, or a sad Munich bast8rd when I suggested that Garcia rarely gave the ball away.

To be a true blue, you have to hate Yaya Toure, call Stevan Jovetic the most expensive sick note in history, offer the most vicious abuse to anyone who dares leave City. And I was in the ground when a significant number of our great fans abused Paul Dickov on one of his returns to City. 'Member that?

There are a lot of clowns on here, and they're not excused simply because they're City fans.
I bow to your superior blueness

That's what you're trying to point out isn't it, your a bigger blue than everyone?

Superior? Maybe I just hate the random and vicious abuse of some of the greatest players ever to play for City. Maybe I just really detest it when much of that appalling abuse is taking place when we are still celebrating one of the greatest triumphs in our history, and our most successful season ever. Maybe I just hate the fact that we are so easily picking on a player who has contributed so much to our recent victories.

And by the way, if Sheik Mansour said something slightly injudicious, would you all be calling for his head, and saying, Oh we'll get another Sheik whenever we want. Nope. I think you'd at least be waiting to hear the full story.

Cut Yaya some slack; he's earned it.

Where was it discounted as happening before the agent interview?

The cunts have sprung out from everywhere oakie. They're odds on now for the world cup now Bernard Moyes aint there anymore to break every fuckers ribs(and records lol).

Look at wiki in 5 years time and the season 2013-2014 won't be in there.

Now 5 years behind#Moyes

Re: Yaya Toure

What do you reckon we'd get for him, realistically at his age? £30m absolute tops imho, probably less. Say £25m. And what do you think we'd get for him next summer? £15m to £20m perhaps?

So are the club really so desperate that they would sell him now and leave us short, just to save £10m tops? I don't think so.

I suspect he will be told he's got 3 years to run and he can either sort his attitude out and play for the 1st team or play for the reserves, your call Yaya.

A pre cursor to my post is that YaYa is world class, and we gave the opportunity to be so. His stock has increased wearing the shirt.
But, we got him because he behaved like this. He and his "agent" agitated at Barca and we saw the chance. My guess is the Executive of our great club are not flustered, or surprised at this one bit. Both Khaldoon and Ferran will have epected this M.O. They will make a call and either this will die a slow death and he will be his own, slightly fractious self in our shirt next year or they will decide at his age now is the time. That is a massive call but they won't do so without an adequate replacement - I don't think you can straight like for like but you can still replace - the one thing Ferguson did was get this right until he caved in the Rooney, that was when they started to slide. Does this thing frustrate - yes, should we be worried no.

Zabaleta - Kompany - Mangala - Kolarov
Fernando
Nasri - Fernandinho
Navas - Aguero - Silva

Would that be the worst starting line-up?

More likely:

Zabaleta - Kompany - Mangala - Kolarov
Fernando
Nasri - Fernandinho
Silva
Aguero - Dzeko

He loves his two strikers, and one of Dzeko/Negredo will have to start
