The ranting and raving on this site says far more about the ranters and ravers than it does about their chosen subject of abuse.

Demichelis, Garcia, Dzeko, Mancini, Pellegrini, Tevez, Quinn....and on and on and on it goes.

If you were all as animated when we're actually playing at the Etihad, some of you might actually contribute something useful to our great club.

You sound very Raggish.

You probably called me a rag when I was standing up for Demichelis, or a red cnut when I was supporting Pellegrini earlier in the season, or a sad Munich bast8rd when I suggested that Garcia rarely gave the ball away.

To be a true blue, you have to hate Yaya Toure, call Stevan Jovetic the most expensive sick note in history, offer the most vicious abuse to anyone who dares leave City. And I was in the ground when a significant number of our great fans abused Paul Dickov on one of his returns to City. 'Member that?

There are a lot of clowns on here, and they're not excused simply because they're City fans.
I bow to your superior blueness

That's what you're trying to point out isn't it, your a bigger blue than everyone?

That's about the 3rd time you've said this, but the media aren't doing anything.

Yaya and his agent have said everything, and anything the papers write are aimed at the laughing stock Yaya has made himself.

That is the point of all this, the media wants to ridicule the club and the player and influence the minds of the masses and there are people that are predisposed to fall for the trap. There has obviously been an incident on social media but you should be fully aware of how that thing works. You should also be aware that Yaya has not said anything himself about the incident, you should also be aware that agents are viruses in football.
Anyway I have repeated it and I will repeat it again, it will all be clear in due time so there is no need to let the media turn you or in many cases encourage you to make conclusions about the situation.
If you think the media are not doing anything or milking this rubbish misunderstanding then you are even a bigger Yaya fan than I actually thought.
They aren't ridiculing the club though, if anything it's all how childish and odd Yaya and his agent have been.

The club's image is taking a hit from Yaya and his agent, nobody else. Even Jamie Redknapp has backed the club.

Also, I fail to see how stating how stupid and disrespectful Yaya and his agent have been makes a huge Yaya fan...

I was being Ironic about the Yaya fan thing but anyhow, the situation is that the agent have said some ridiculous thing in a capacity or circumstance that is not really clear- interview, off the cuff statement, whatever it is, the agent as consistent with their kind have shown great recklessness and disregard for Yaya and the club and has given the media ammunition to run with this and perpetuate the idea in the public about city and the players in the club. Yaya is the one with the egg on his face at the moment but the overarching message pertaining to the club and the media tendency to amplify and spice up nonesense with continuous headlines only worsens and makes everything look worse

Yaya is an important player in the squad, perhaps the greatest player the club has ever signed. I will therefore wait for things to be clear and not let the media pull me here and there with constant inflammatory stories about the incident.

Re: Yaya Toure

A pre cursor to my post is that YaYa is world class, and we gave the opportunity to be so. His stock has increased wearing the shirt.
But, we got him because he behaved like this. He and his "agent" agitated at Barca and we saw the chance. My guess is the Executive of our great club are not flustered, or surprised at this one bit. Both Khaldoon and Ferran will have epected this M.O. They will make a call and either this will die a slow death and he will be his own, slightly fractious self in our shirt next year or they will decide at his age now is the time. That is a massive call but they won't do so without an adequate replacement - I don't think you can straight like for like but you can still replace - the one thing Ferguson did was get this right until he caved in the Rooney, that was when they started to slide. Does this thing frustrate - yes, should we be worried no.

Spot on.
Nature of the beast I'm afraid.
We took advantage of Tevez' nature, and then in turn got bitten by it (but it still paid off for us).

We knew Ballo might be problematic. Took a chance, and he was..... problematic.

It can't be a major surprise when a perennial agitator (Yaya c/o agent) starts agitating.

Why do fans turn against players when they hear that they want to leave a club, especially the foriegn ones, they are not being disloyal, they were never City fans!!.... even English players and City legends leave eventually, Franny Lee, Dennis Tueart, Peter Barnes, Ian Bishop, all left at some stage, the way it is done nowadays (Through the media, and agents) leaves a sour taste I agree, but clubs do that to players too.

Has everyone turned against Milner?

No, because he was upfront and honest.

Yes, I was upset when I heard about Jimmy. However, he's been honest and quite frankly if you're an England international then I can see why he wants more first team football. Here he's appreciated and a valuable member of the squad, but perhaps he wants to be a regular first team player. He'll be the big fish at Everton or Spurs.... A key player, who plays whenever possible.... a bit like Yaya then.... Um... Hope they both stay, they're both great in their own way.

This post is a perfect example of why some may consider you a rag. On a personal note, I've been a staunch supporter of all the players you mention above, please feel free to check my post history. When a relatively new poster says there are a lot of clowns on here and attempts to back it up with unsubstantiated generalised claims , it will always create suspicion. If you're not a rag you have my unreserved apologies. If you are, I'm sure the powers that be will work it out.

The quotes were not "off the cuff".

The agent arranged an exclusive with a tabloid paper.

2 days have passed and the only response we know of from Yaya is an interview with Bein sports that doesn't deny anything but rather justifies his agent's words and actions.

Yaya has stated that he won't say anything until after the World Cup, that's about 2 months away.. How very nice of him, that's not arrogant at all...

The attention is on Yaya and his agent, he's made himself a easy target. Anything the media has written or portrayed is on Yaya due to the ammunition he has given them, the club has been backed. There's been no hyperbole from the media; this is a big enough story as it is, the fact it's so bizarre means it will gain exposure.

To say "because media" doesn't wash because it doesn't make sense. They haven't added anything to a bizarre enough story.
