Thanks for that. Those of us with proper jobs just can't keep up with this thread! Could do with a daily update in a location that's easy to find!

The ranting and raving on this site says far more about the ranters and ravers than it does about their chosen subject of abuse.

Demichelis, Garcia, Dzeko, Mancini, Pellegrini, Tevez, Quinn....and on and on and on it goes.

If you were all as animated when we're actually playing at the Etihad, some of you might actually contribute something useful to our great club.

You sound very Raggish.

You probably called me a rag when I was standing up for Demichelis, or a red cnut when I was supporting Pellegrini earlier in the season, or a sad Munich bast8rd when I suggested that Garcia rarely gave the ball away.

To be a true blue, you have to hate Yaya Toure, call Stevan Jovetic the most expensive sick note in history, offer the most vicious abuse to anyone who dares leave City. And I was in the ground when a significant number of our great fans abused Paul Dickov on one of his returns to City. 'Member that?

There are a lot of clowns on here, and they're not excused simply because they're City fans.

This applies equally to yourself ofc.

I happen to be David Moyes' PR guy.
Things are just a bit slack at the moment.

That's about the 3rd time you've said this, but the media aren't doing anything.

Yaya and his agent have said everything, and anything the papers write are aimed at the laughing stock Yaya has made himself.

That is the point of all this, the media wants to ridicule the club and the player and influence the minds of the masses and there are people that are predisposed to fall for the trap. There has obviously been an incident on social media but you should be fully aware of how that thing works. You should also be aware that Yaya has not said anything himself about the incident, you should also be aware that agents are viruses in football.
Anyway I have repeated it and I will repeat it again, it will all be clear in due time so there is no need to let the media turn you or in many cases encourage you to make conclusions about the situation.
If you think the media are not doing anything or milking this rubbish misunderstanding then you are even a bigger Yaya fan than I actually thought.
They aren't ridiculing the club though, if anything it's all how childish and odd Yaya and his agent have been.

The club's image is taking a hit from Yaya and his agent, nobody else. Even Jamie Redknapp has backed the club.

Also, I fail to see how stating how stupid and disrespectful Yaya and his agent have been makes a huge Yaya fan...

99 times out of a hundred i'd agree about the media but they haven't done anything to provoke this. Even the Sky journo who interviewed Seluk yesterday had an air of "are you for fucking real" about him when he was going on about the birthday stuff. It's manna from heaven to the City haters and unfortunately it's one of our own who's given it to them.

Why do fans turn against players when they hear that they want to leave a club, especially the foriegn ones, they are not being disloyal, they were never City fans!!.... even English players and City legends leave eventually, Franny Lee, Dennis Tueart, Peter Barnes, Ian Bishop, all left at some stage, the way it is done nowadays (Through the media, and agents) leaves a sour taste I agree, but clubs do that to players too.

Not all fans 'turn' against players, and I don't think its anything to do with nationality. Tuart, Lee and Barnes didn't have agents slagging the champions off in public, and one going on programmes acting like a complete twat. Yaya should never have been associated with such behaviour. Anyone who's annoyed and saddened has a right to be. He's a Blue, a legend and our one of the most popular players, the others also being non-English.

If you read most of the posts, some are funny, many are serious and sensible, and that's the way most of us are dealing with this slightly surreal scene of our player of the year causing unwanted negative press. These things should be done in private. The fact that he's a star player and not a reserve player or at the end of his career makes matters worse.

We've not all turned against him. However his image and all the great things he's done for the club have been tarnished by this latest incident of modern day footballer shenanigans.
