As far as I can see, the most recent quotes that people are angry about have only been reported in this one tweet (by an account with 1000 followers):

Yahoo Sports ME @YahooSportsME · 14h

Yaya #Toure on his future with @MCFC. I'm very angry. I'm very upset." Asked about his future: "We'll see. We'll see." #MCFC

No other media sources have picked up on them, so I'm not sure how valid they are.

Not that it changes the fact that Toure is acting pretty shamefully at the moment, although there are some mitigating factors with his brother's death.

Personally, I still think the chances are that he'll be a City player next season. Be interesting to see what reaction he gets from the fans if that happens. Pretty sure, as with Tevez, that a couple of decent performances will mean it's largely forgotten. His legacy at City will always be tainted though.

Whilst I dislike Yaya's comments and actions, he's still a million miles behind Tevez when it comes to disrespecting the club. Considering how quickly Tevez seemed to be forgiven, Yaya shouldn't have any problems. One decent free kick should do the trick.

I thought blues supported their players. Very disappointed in this episode. Nothing I've heard from Yaya's side should raise an eyebrow. The reaction by people on her is just a disgrace. I'm rarely disappointed by blues but in this case I think the fans have let themselves down badly.

Glad there are a few still with some sense though their voices seem drowned out.

Absolute bollocks. The fans support Manchester City F.C.

Anyone who is happy to let an individual make false and derogatory statements about our club, would do best to ask themselves why they claim to 'support' City in the first place.

What false and derogatory stayemts. It's been a misunderstanding mixed with usual agent crap. Nothing insulting. The club and Yaya will doe got out.

If he said we were a shitty club then it'd be different.

People are over reacting like I've never seen. It's ludicrous.

Pathetic post.

Re: Yaya Toure

Hi everyone (newbie here) haha

Tbf, no player is bigger than the club. So we shouldnt make any exceptions with Yaya. He's going through a lot at the moment, but by the looks of things (twitter and all this with his dodgey agent etc) his city future doesnt look 100%

Pity because he's a fantastic player too watch, but if he's got nothing good too say about the club or how we do things, then I can see him moving elsewhere.

Oh, you're actually being serious?

I hear golf is a decent sport if you want to support individuals.

It's bollocks. Yaya couldn't do Daves job and vice-versa.

In the being a selfish, self centred **** stakes, Yaya wins hands down though.
Your right about him being a **** , but what things can Silva do ,that Yaya can't not 1 , I will now tell u what Silva can't do compared 2 Yaya finish , score from a free kick , beat a man , run the length of the pitch with a football .

MCFC OK

P.S Yaya can play 4 yards balls to

One thing is definite - you have never played football at a decent level, probably any level. Your constant denigration of one of the finest footballers to have pulled on a blue shirt frankly stinks of rag jealousy. Or you are actually Yaya.....give it up now its boring.

Yaya has proved beyond doubt that he wants to go, it's just a shame he couldn't go with some dignity and be remembered fondly as another one of the finest footballers ever to have pulled on a blue shirt. Instead he will be remembered by the majority as a prize cock.

Played 4 City and Sunderland up till I was 15 , Rae Ingram , John Foster , Adie Mike oh and Ryan Giggs where nearly as good as me

xx

I don't support Yaya exclusively like some seem to with Dzeko. I just think we have always supported our players and didn't allow some bits and pieces of media crap to sway that support. There were complications in this story from the start with the WC prep and his brother. Even in his statements this week it's not clear if he entirely blames himself or the club. It's not black and white but a lot of people seem to have jumped into the "we are insulted" camp from the start and it's pathetic imo. This is my opinion and it may be bollix to others but I suspect not to all.

Re: Yaya Toure

Only two people have made statements or used 'social media' during this whole episode.
Those two peope are YaYa Toure and his agent.
MCFC and its appointed agents have not commented on any of the stated or allegedly stated 'allegations made by the aforementioned two.
Who has sought this public upheaval.
Who has gained from it.
To what end.

We support the club, individual players come and go but whilst they are at MCFC they must also support the club. If they do not wish to support the club, in all matters, they should leave the club.
