Re: Yaya Toure

Being a magnificent player doesn't make someone a legend.

Some of City's legends weren't great players, they were half decent in the grand scheme of things.

You become a legend through the effort you give, the attitude you show, and the respect you earn.

Still a City legend are Yaya Toure . If he leaves I will miss him .

One of the best players to wear the shirt for me. Legend ? He's fucked that up big time.
Come on . At least he hasn't done a Tevez and gone absent without leave . I think its his agent that's fucked us about .

A **** is a ****. Tevez / Yaya, no difference. All respect has been lost.

I have seen people throwing around figures like 40 or even 50 million when talking about how much we'll get for Yaya if we sell - sorry to say it but that is just dreaming. A 31 year old who has made it very public that he wants to leave will bring in 25 million I would say. In fact the whole benefit of this sorry saga is for him to be able bring his price down, both facilitating the move and probably earning him and his parody agent a nice signing on fee.

Zindine Zidane in 2001 age 29 went to Real Madrid for around 61m! 2001 if a club wants a player they will pay up 40m should be our bottom line
Absolutely no chance of getting anywhere near that amount
Even the £25 million being suggested seems on the high side for someone aged 31
£20 million wouldn't be a bad deal and getting £10 million a year off the wage bill,if indeed he did go.

What a crock of shit.

Fixed it for you ;.). Joking apart, there was nothing 'manly' about Tevez's actions. He's just a different type of **** but a **** just the same.

Is he being a dick on FIFA, too? They do say those things are getting ever more realistic, don't they.

Another twist in this ever changing saga.
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has hit back at suggestions he tried to initiate a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ivorian’s future has been up in the air ever since his agent revealed he had been hurt by the lack of any birthday wishes on behalf of the club.

Quickly after that mysterious outburst, Toure was quoted saying he would be honoured to play for PSG one day, seemingly opening the door to a potential move.

But today, he has distanced himself from those comments, insisting it was the media blowing his words out of proportion.

“I take the opportunity that is given to me to put things in context. This is very important. I just said it was a pleasure to be a rather courted player and it was an honour to play for PSG. The media have released my words out of context. There are no plans at the moment. Too much has been said and it annoyed me,” he told RFI.

Toure’s behaviour has been very peculiar in recent weeks and it appears he is attempting to force a new, and crucially, extended contract.

At 31, his next contract may be his last so he and his agent seem to be scaring City into the best possible deal.

Toure is pivotal to the current City side, having contributed 20 goals and nine assists in the Premier League last season.
I thought he wasn't saying anything until after the World Cup.
