There's a certain (gold) standard of reply that you should be aspiring to Kaz. That falls some way short. Soft, furry kittens could do better!

Do you want me to be nicer or nastier?
Oh; nastier. Definitely. I love it when a lady talks dirty!

*awaits ban*

Meet me in the cellar later ;)

Re: Yaya Toure

i have real mixed feelings over this, let me start by saying that Yaya is one of the best players i have ever seen on a blue shirt. his impact on key games has been out of this world and i would love to have seen him see out the rest of his career with us.

However, i am now resigned to the fact that he is going to be off before the start of the season, but i have also been concerned over the last 12 months about how long he could last for and who we could eventually replace him with. This has just brought forward the inevitable case that he would need to be replaced. The positive i can see is that we will get a decent fee for him and that whoever we go for isn't going to be thinking that they need to displace him.

I honestly don't know who will replace him but i have every faith that the club will see us right.

I would have had more respect for him if he had come out and said that he wanted one last challenge after all he has done with us rather than make up a soft arsed feeble story about a birthday.

Legend and a dick.

Excellent player but i think his legend status is on hold at the moment, however i don't think anybody could argue with the second part of your assessment.

Re: Yaya Toure

File under Carlos Tevez in terms of club legend. If he stays for this season we will get our uses out of the player but he will not be classed as one of my Club favourties when he does leave.

Re: Yaya Toure

Another twist in this ever changing saga.
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has hit back at suggestions he tried to initiate a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ivorian’s future has been up in the air ever since his agent revealed he had been hurt by the lack of any birthday wishes on behalf of the club.

Quickly after that mysterious outburst, Toure was quoted saying he would be honoured to play for PSG one day, seemingly opening the door to a potential move.

But today, he has distanced himself from those comments, insisting it was the media blowing his words out of proportion.

“I take the opportunity that is given to me to put things in context. This is very important. I just said it was a pleasure to be a rather courted player and it was an honour to play for PSG. The media have released my words out of context. There are no plans at the moment. Too much has been said and it annoyed me,” he told RFI.

Toure’s behaviour has been very peculiar in recent weeks and it appears he is attempting to force a new, and crucially, extended contract.

At 31, his next contract may be his last so he and his agent seem to be scaring City into the best possible deal.

Toure is pivotal to the current City side, having contributed 20 goals and nine assists in the Premier League last season.

Although I don!t think the Yaya and Benatia situations are exactly the same they are certainly analogous, and to dismiss that seems to be a tactic to prove a point or argument.

There are some similarities. However what makes Yaya's situation so ludicrous is that he's bitching while "earning" approx £11m p.a. Basically, he already has it all.

Benatia claims he has been offered £2.4m IIRC (Euro 3m).

Maybe that makes them both mercenaries in principle but there is a huge difference in scale.

Re: Yaya Toure

I think City hold all the aces. He has a contract to honour. They will not cave into his demands. He will not be able to force a move unless we want him to go. What a numpty!

Re: Yaya Toure

Can anyone translate this

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.maxifoot.fr/football-rss198563/man-city.php?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.maxifoot.fr/football-rss1985 ... um=twitter</a>

Apparently his comments were taken out of context??

More like it, Yaya!

Re: Yaya Toure

Yaya,

If you think people are taking your words out of context, then FIX IT with a simple, straightforward statement like...

"I am a Manchester City player and proud to have helped make the team one of the best in Europe. I intend to HONOUR MY NEW CONTRACT, which is the best I have ever had in my entire career, and I look forward to repaying the trust of the owners and the fans next season after returning from a successful World Cup."

AND THAT WOULD BE THE END OF ALL THE BULLSHIT!

Alas, he prefers to speak in gobbledygook and is doing NOTHING to clear up his recent nonsense.
