Today's press reports that Yaya will not be speaking to the media after his comments on Paris were taken out of context.

I'm prepared to believe Yaya on this. The press have shown consistency in trying to destabilise our progress and this could well be the same.

Other than his agent's nonsense birthday rant and an alleged supportive tweet, we have heard nothing from the player himself.

Yaya retains my support until he leaves the club.

This. Yaya retains my support too. We are not employing him for his eloquence, we are employing him for what he does on the pitch. If he is staying quiet, and his knob of an agent is staying quiet then even better. He is the best player in the PL, the other players at City seem to like him, we would not be able to replace him anywhere close to like for like, time to move on

So he has spoken to the media to say he isn't going to speak to the media anymore. If that's the case why not set the record straight and put all this to bed? A simple statement of 'Im happy at City and fully intend to be there next season' would solve everything. He hasn't and for me that speaks volumes.

Re: Yaya Toure

Too many on here have been lactating heavily over Yaya's alleged comments over PSG.

As far as I'm concerned he's welcome to stay until the day he puts in a transfer request, he's irreplaceable at the moment.

Re: Yaya Toure

I seem to be in an ever decreasing minority of those who'd like him to still be here next season.
Footballers, especially those that get to the top of the profession, will be quite strong characters, verging on the narcissistic. We have a classic case here in Yaya. Having an ego that big is what has driven him to succeed and make him the player he is today.
I don't buy for one minute that he's been manipulated by a cunning, destructive agent. yaya is setting the agenda here and has made himself look very silly indeed.
However, this type of stuff goes on a lot with the elite footballers and I'm sure the powers that be at City will sit him down, give him a big hug and re-assurances and all will be fine come mid- August and our thoroughbred will be raring to go again.
There's no point cashing in on him because he's the best around.
We should get first option on the boy Barkley as we can make him a great player but for now, stick with the Ivorian and just put up with these rather idiotic outbursts. We'll have to get used to them with top players if we haven't already.

Daft idea of course , but maybe he just fancies living in Paris more than in Manchester.
Why? does Paris have more than two restaurants?
3 I believe.
No, it's only 2. That McDonald's in Montmartre closed in February.

not sure if you are in a minority pal, I certainly agree with you, and most Blues I speak to are of the same opinion; however of the ones who post in here I would assess that we are in the minority; however it might be like the callers to 606, those who bother to call (or in this case post) tend to be those who have the strongest opinions, but not necesarilly the majority opinions - personally I think the silent majority probably wish that this would die down, that Yaya and his agent would shut up, and that Yaya is still doing what he does best next season, for City

Re: Yaya Toure

small amount of back tracking going on? perhaps he should just shut up and concentrate on the world cup as he says he's doing.
