He'll say that he was behind all the success we had in the last few years, but doesn't get enough respect and credit from the staff. I suspect that he'll give some examples, then he'll say that he wants to leave.
Well he'll be talking a load of shite if he does won't he? He may well have a point regarding him playing a large part in our success, the respect and credit aspect is a two way street and from what I can gather there's only one party been involved in any disrespect so far and it ain't City.
I'd like nothing more than him to come out and clear the air meaning he stays, but from the little that's out in the public domain at the moment, that doesn't appear to be on his agenda anytime soon, in which case we need to get the very best deal for our club, thank him for his service and move on.

Yes.

He won't say that "the club have signed Fernando and therefore can't stay here anymore", instead he'll make things up.
you know, if you're trying to stay under the radar you're making a pretty poor job of it.

I really am hoping his statement is one expressing his desire to move elsewhere.
He has been a fantastic signing and will never be forgotten for the huge contribution he has made to our progress and success.
However, all good things come to an end and I believe that time has arrived,he will never be held in the same esteem by our supporters and his value will never be higher. We can use those funds to bring in a talent that may even compliment our shape, style and, just as importantly, our morale, further - i'd like to take a punt on Pjanić.

So its a thanks and goodbye from me.

He will cost the same as Benatia or more. We are talking about Roma here

Re: Yaya Toure

Wouldnt it be refreshing if he just came out with (what I believe is) the truth?

"Manchester City have never treated me with anything but respect, but if I'm being honest my head is a bit fucked from dealing with a close family members terminal illness for a long time.

I have said some things about the club that arent strictly the truth, but having enjoyed some great times here and (I feel) having played a pivotal role in their recent successes, I feel like my work here at Manchester City is done and I would like a fresh start to try and put these personal painful memories behind me."

Something like this comes out? Respect restored and best wishes to the big fella. More bollocks and he can get fucked.

Like it. Was quite impressed with him at the World Cup. Work rate is certainly high and a tidy player to boot.

Couldn't agree more, doubt he will say it though!

Re: Yaya Toure

His reputation & legacy is now tarnished at City for me, I for one would sell him while he is still sellable at a decent price!

One thing is for sure, even if he stays, I would want Zaba to take the vice captain role. Him & Vinny are the leaders of this team & show respect for the club.

I would give Nasri a role in the centre instead of buying a £40 million midfielder.

to me he is now tarnished and will always be a ****.
even though he scored in the FA cup semi final against Manchester United and in the final verses Stoke City to give us our first trophy in 35 long suffering painful years ? At least he didn't bugger off to play golf. No wonder tina didn't pick tevez in the squad

All his good reputation is tarnished. Irrepairable damage done. A **** is a ****. A great player without doubt, but Yaya is now, and will always be, a ****.
