In my opinion, Toure is mentally and physically destroyed as he recently said and isnt fully there at the time. He went from a brutally taxing, both physically and mentally, premier league campaign straight to the World Cup, where he was running on fumes. Then his 28 year old brother dies from Cancer while hes away.

Imagine if that happened to you? I wouldnt be able to focus, concentrate or do anything. He needs a long rest and holiday to not only recharge his batteries but to simply think things through and detox for awhile.
Excellent, well said

Can't agree, mate.

Toure has repeated form for these type of antics.

He was at it last season when he sanctioned his agent to insist he was being'disrespected' because of the speed of the contract talks and no posters in recognition of his status around the Etihad Stadium.

Same at Barca, two seasons running, he was having digs at Txiki and the board for a lack of respect about low pay.

Neil Diamond will always say it best in situations such as these;)

Re: Yaya Toure

The problem with Yaya is that this summer is the worst possible summer for him to start this crap. We have transfer restrictions and no doubt most of our transfer plans were well advanced. Suddenly this escalating crap about cakes, birthday, respect and now visiting his brother etc. comes along and we have try and figure out how to replace him. Effectively we have only what we get for him to spend and there are very, very few players who can step in to his shoes and probably none we can afford given our restrictions.

My worry is that he is such a mardy character that we could see him effectively downing tools if he doesn't get his move. So instead we sell him for less than we need and don't replace him properly or possibly at all. Then the shitehawks like Gill and Rummenigge will have achieved exactly what they want with this FFPR crap, weakening us.

Just my opinion but i don't think he has been stable mentally for 2 years, scored great cup and title winning goals and looked like he couldn't give 2 hoots apart from a slide on his arse, most players would be celebrating with gusto, somats not right up top!

Re: Yaya Toure

When the truth finally comes out and his agent admits he really just wants a pay rise for his player after the best season of his career, do you think he'll cite our song as evidence for such?

Spot on.
The sad thing is I'm sure that Yaya & his agent know that this is the Summer that we are at our weakest regarding
incoming transfers and are exploiting the situation. It's very similar to how Rooney effectively blackmailed a weak
David Moyes into giving him a better contract. We can't afford to risk him downing tools so the options are concede
to his demands or sell. Personally I'd take the short term hit and sell.

exactly. which is why he's a ****.

Re: Yaya Toure

It would be nice to have this sorted, yaya has protracted all this with his pre world cup rhetoric.

I would love nothing more than city to get a good price for him and he can jog on and do whatever he wishes.
I have no time for him at all and just want this sorted for the benefit of the club.
