People do realise that this latest PSG quote is rehashed shit that was published in France Football six months ago!

If that's true, then a lot of journalists have gotten their wires crossed as it's been mass reported. Some of them, including ESPN, claim it's a new interview and make reference to his January interview as a separate one.

Re: Yaya Toure

it seems Yaya is making it easier by the day for us to sell him...great player and has been a privilege to see him play for city but no player is bigger than the club!

I just hope this gets sorted sooner rather than later and i would presume city will want the same.

Re: Yaya Toure

He is losing his credibility with us City fans by the day and its heartbreaking, I really do not understand what the club or us fans have deserved to get these sort of actions from Yaya.

Yaya has done great things for us but he is the epitome of the modern day footballer in that he is a mercenary, thinks he is bigger than the club and thinks he should be treated like royalty.

I want him to leave the club this summer.

Re: Yaya Toure

He's being a total prick with those PSG comments.

But we really can't sell him. That would let every player know that we're soft. Come here and perform poorly, you can ride out your contract (Sinclair, Bridge). Those who perform well can force us into contract negotiations or a sale with just a few comments.

For the integrity of the club, we can't do it.

Very good ;-)

Please tell Mr Hairdoo, I need YouTube based clues and talking cartoon bears, I love all that transfer stuff, that's all that's missing from this thread and of course where will Yaya be next season.

Bottlers? We're selling him to Arsenal?!

I disagree, we need to make a statement to say we are not a walk over to spoilt players, if he stays we will have to give him a pay rise just to keep him happy no doubt because he isn't going to be all happy coming back to us without any incentive after all these comments.

I don't care how good he is, this bloke needs to be sold.

Re: Yaya Toure

The club should just issue a simple statement saying,

''Regarding Ya Ya Toure. We don't need to wait for your statement you are under contract to Manchester City FC for the next three years.Enjoy the world cup and see you back here for pre season training.''

Re: Yaya Toure

Said it before and will say it again. If he stays, I'd be delighted as he was immense for us this season. If he goes, he'll go with my thanks and best wishes. Beyond that, I'm not that arsed.

Re: Yaya Toure

Alongside Carlos Tevez he is the most effective player we have had in in our history but he is not the very best. We have given him enough rope for Yaya and his agent to hang themelves with.

We either sell or make him see out his contract as long as we don't give him an improved 1 city will be seen as the winners not yaya just look at how the rags done with rooneys last 2 hissy fits!

I agree entirely. He’s a magnificent player, but they come and they go. What is now happening is, in my opinion, irreversible. We do not want to be like Utd were with Rooney - publicly humiliated on two separate occasions and look what good it’s done them. Sell now, on our terms. Re-invest the cash received and re-allocate the £220k a week wages on new players as well as a few quid extra for Silva. It was good while it lasted, he did a job most of the time, but with these antics he can fuck off out of the door.
