Can you imagine his agent should he not make it into the team one week?

Perhaps moving on is best, glad to see we aren't being taken for mugs with money!

it's not really being taken for mugs though is it....

we are the richest club in the world...right? this enables us to pay the highest wages and transfers fee..

we have that right.....

and what is out aim? deffo top 4 this season possible title challenge

toure is one of the only top class mid fielders out in the market looking for the move and would definitely bring something different to the team no doubt

well that's my opinion anyway

If you had 11 first team players on £100,000 a week your already talking a £57.2m Wage bill before even considoring the other 14 squad players and any youth on contracts. With the latest Uefa financial rules coming into play in a few years it would be wise to maintain a decent wage structure. Especially considoring we are yet to reach the Champions League and therefore income is limited.

what's the point in qualifying for the champs league if we get thrown out in three years time because our outgoings (read: wages) are massively higher than our income?

who said we're getting thrown out in 3 years lol?

do you not have the confidence to say that are owner (yes one) and leaders will be in this for the long run as they have reinforced many times.

i remember khaldoon al mubarak saying that he will step down as chairman if we failed to qualify for champions league last season.......hasn't happend yet and doesn't look like happing either

so yeah, i basically trust them

EDIT: ok yeah sorry you meant the uefa ruling soooozzzz xxxx lol

will ppl stop saying our owners...its our owner,we were not bought by the abu dhabi famiyl, just a member of it,its a personal purchase by sheik mansour,no one else and IT IS HIS OWN MONEY HE IS PUMPING INTO THE CLUB,no one elses,he owns 100% of man city,no one else
He doesn't own 100% because you have minor shareholers (mainly supporters) who have had there share for years. I understand what your saying but no owner owns 100% of a football club.

We could realy do with Yaya but his agent is a grade A prick by the look of things.
IMO both the Everton defeats and 1 of the 3 rag defeats last season were lost in midfield not to mention the draws that should of been wins.

From yayatoure.net

"Yaya’s salary to go up

There have been many speculations about Yaya Toure leaving FC Barcelona in January, but that’s been denied by both Toure and his agent. However, his agent told the press that at the end of the season anything could happen. One of the issues he’s having with Barcelona is his salary. His current salary is around 3 million euro, and Manchester City offered him 6.5 million euro if he joins the english club.

Toure said that he wants to stay with Barcelona, but he’s expecting a significant pay rise, or otherwise he will leave."

apprentley over wage demands

surely he's not demanding something like 200k a week because that's ridiculous if he says we're acting like a bankrupt club

something between 90k -120k should be fine shouldn't it?

i'm not sure if it's true but i read and heard somewhere that jerome boatang is being paid 85k per week

OMG CITY WHY!!

ye heard hes on 85,crazy tbh, shud be 60 at the VERY MOST!!

Well not if we really wanted him and he wouldn't join us for less than 85. The only things we have to offer players at present are huge, over the odds wages and the offer of the project ie great players coming to the club and future success. The project in itself is completely reliant on offering huge wages as we cannot get great players to a club that has done relatively little for years without offering way over the odds in terms of wages. Basically until we are a force to be reckoned with, we will have to offer much more than everyone else. A player's worth in terms of wages is always going to be debatable anyway. It is futile to pluck one huge amount of the air like 60k and say that a player is worth that but not worth 85 because he is arguably worth neither amount but ultimately is worth whatever the club is prepared to pay to persuade him to come to a club that has done nowt for ages.

Thought supporters shares in City were cancelled after Thaksin's offer for the club was accepted. His share was then bought by ADUG. Iam not sure if he has a 100% stake

When Companies are subject to takeovers the offeror can mop up any minor shareholding without the consent of the minor shareholders. PTM rules
