Yaya Toure [Merged]

We're going to have a huge team next season when you think about it...

Lescott
Kompany
Boateng
Yaya Toure
Adebayor
Vieira

I can see a lot of goals coming from set-pieces.

Well no team in the league scored more set-piece goals than us last season. Not a single one. So it wouldn't surprise me if we carry on where we left off, especially now we have Adam Johnson's delivery for a whole season not just half a season.

Never knew that mate, very interesting indeed.

One thing's for sure, we won't be getting bullied with these tanks in our squad.

the back line could easily be this:

Boateng - 6'3
Kompany - 6'4
Lescott - 6'2
Kolarov - 6'2

Very hard to beat a zonal marking system in set pieces with 4 big guys across the 6 yard line

No 92nd minute Shrek/Scholes header with that army at the back for sure, can't wait.

That's a crazy stat given our corners have been tosh for years. Do set pieces tend to include direct free kicks in the stats?

dont think this has been posted:

A statement on Barcelona's official website read: "Barcelona director-general Joan Oliver has said that the club has agreed the exits of Yaya Touré and Thierry Henry but that at the moment the final moves are in their hands.

I think the deal is done but can't be officially announced until next week because the transfer window doesn't officially open until July 1st in Spain.

<a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_window" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_window</a>

This coincides with what Toure's agent was saying:

'I think we will have a solution this week. In fact, I would say that (it will be done) on the first or second of July - maybe on the second because the first will be a very busy day at Barca with the change of president,' agent Dimitri Seluk told Barcelona-based daily newspaper Sport.

i think all contracts run to June 30th or January 31st/Feb 1st i.e the day before the transfer window officially opens.
