It will probably take £25-27m to get them to accept. One thing is for certain, it doesn't matter how stubborn we are, Barca will not cave in to £20m. Not when it's us that's bidding.

Honestly, I'm not arsed about whether he ends up costing 25 or 30 million - I'm as excited about the impact Yaya can have as I was about Tevez when he signed. I was gutted we didn't get him last summer, and had we had him, I'm convinced we'd have sewn up 4th place.

Makes me laugh when people say we are ruining football when it's not even us deciding the prices, for example, Arsenal fans saying they want like 80 mil for Fabregas, know what I mean?

I was convinced he was signing by some info i got at the weekend, it didnt pan out that way but dont at all be surprised to see this tied up in a matter of days, unless we get stiffed.
I personally think we get this right with him and we'll challenge for the title next year.

I know people are worried about getting ripped off and paying too much. But in the grand scheme of things, £30m is a drop in the ocean to our brilliant owner. We mess about at £20m and someone nips in with £25m we lose him.

When I look at the money wasted by Hughes I think , fuck it, whats another £30m.

Not my money I know, but its still loose change. And its not going to a rival like Villa.

Who cares what anyone else thinks?

If we get him and Boateng thats already going to make a massive difference to us defensively, even before we start buying more attack-minded players - bring it on :)

Lets have it right fella. We'd be strengthening the best team in the world and once you're the best and number 1, there's only one direction you can head. £30,000,000 for Yaya Touré would be a bit much for a Barcelona substitute, but it just shows the gulf in class between us and them in my books. On the other hand, that gulf is between Barca and most clubs worldwide.

I'd be concerned if we were giving it to a Champions League Qualifier team as they'd be our rivals for not next season but the season after once we've finished in the top four (minimum RM would expect I bet!) or to a premiership rival club and that's why Milner doesn't appeal at the moment really.
