I say Yeah Yeah for Yaya welcome aboard if reports are correct a powerhouse in midfield who can go fwd as well as put his foot in!!

Yaya Toure can play an attacking and defensive midfield role.

Barca have used him as a defensive midfielder, but that's because they have a surplus of attacking talent on their midfield. I've seen him play some great attacking football for Barca and his country.

You can't play in Barca's free-flowing attacking style if you can't play football. hey don't employ a destroyer in the De Jong mode in front of their back 4. Every player has to be very comfortable on the ball

people who reguraly start in the midfield won't be left out . remember we have a massive season next year , so the bigger the squad the better especially for europa league . Plus competition in a team always gets the best out of players

If yaya had to sit in bench he would have stayed at barca.

Yaya will play ahead of De Jong. By which I mean in front of him on the pitch, not replace him.

If yaya had to sit in bench he would have stayed at barca.

Yaya will be our first choice central midfielder, of which we'll play at least 2, but he won't be playing every game of the season, he'll want breaks just as much as we'll want to rest him. He's a professional, he'll understand we'll want him fresh for bigger games and so he might have to miss say Blackpool at home.

Have you read the thread? There have been a few moaning about more defensive midfielders etc but most of us recognise Yaya for what he is.
