Thats a very big statement fella.

You need to be able to back that up i think?
It's not a big statement he wants to go to Chelsea & his agent will obviously push him into a dealwith us if the moneys right but we will be getting a player who doesn't really want to come & Boateng said Mancini spent a long time trying to talk him into coming to City & he's decided to take the chance.

Did Boateng actually use the words about taking the chance? Can't remember seeing that. Of course if Chelsea are interested in Toure then he's going to want to go there, it's a no brainer really but aslong as he comes and gives his all which i'm sure he will then there won't be a problem. How do you know he wants to go to Chelsea anyway?

What Boateng said.
"I am going to sign before leaving for the World Cup and the deal will be completed. It has been decided that I am moving there."

Boateng confirmed City manager Roberto Mancini had visited him in Hamburg and talked him into the move.
"He came with two representatives to Hamburg and we chatted for one or two hours. He convinced me to make the transfer. He believes that I will definitely need a few months to get settled in once in England, but that he sees so much potential in me that he will improve me
Tourre WILL sign for us if we offer him & his agent huge amounts of cash.
The agent of Yaya Toure has cooled talk of a possible move to Premier League club Manchester City.
The player’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, told reporters that Manchester City are not big enough for the Barcelona midfielder, despite brother Kolo playing there.
He also said that if Barcelona do not want Yaya Toure, he can name eight other clubs, some of the biggest in the world, who are interested in signing the versatile player.
He went on to say that Yaya Toure he does leave Barcelona, he will not go to Manchester City because he will sign for a bigger club
.
150k a week we will get him but don't be fooled into thinking he wants to come here.
I can't see the problem with hoping we sign players that actually want to come, but if we are going to go down the other route then so be it.

I can't believe this.

Nobody has any proof or direct quotes from the players themselves saying they don't want to come here or that they are just coming for the money. Until you do, please don't post utter tripe.

"Everything has changed with City, because they talk a lot but then afterwards they don't appear to be a rich club but rather a bankrupt one."

He looks like bigger than our club.
And I think he and his agent is using City as stepping stone while open negotiation with BIGGER CLUBS.

Yawn if you read it properly its his agent who says that and not Toure himself

Don't be under any illusions ........ this is 2010!

Would Torres still be at Liverpool if they halved his wages ?

Would Rooney have gone to Old Trafford if they'd offered him less than he was on at Everton?

Yaya Toure talks money because , like most others , it matters to him a great deal ........ and he remains at Barcelona because he's already on great money ........ if he comes to City it will only be for BETTER money!

Very few players play for the love of the game anymore , no matter how much crap they spew about a clubs 'hisitory' meaning everything to them ...... only the gullible , or the downright naive , believe!

good post mate, all points very valid

mark his word

Kolo says no-no: Toure will reject Manchester City
But Barcelona midfielder Yaya insists Kolo will not head north because ambitious City are not a big enough club.

'The most important thing for my brother is that he can play with a big team,' he told the London Evening Standard. 'Arsenal play great football and City are not there yet.

'They have a lot of money and are ready to buy everyone but it is difficult for them because the kind of players they want are already at big clubs and some people don’t want to take a step down

We will be a good stepping stone for him during negotiation with BIG CLUB
