Yaya Toure to Milan?

Inter can afford it - they are being difficult because they plan an overhaul so to move permanent deals to next summer with some loans would let them spread out their spending. They offered over £20m for Dybala and didn't get him so should be able to buy one of Jovetic or Yaya outright. Loan with obligation to buy is not ideal but we have precedent for being allowed to use the future guaranteed money early when UEFA consented the Negredo money being used on Bony. £15m is a good fee if we actively want to sell him, despite how good Yaya still is. It'd be different if we didn't, but I think we do. How many outfield 32-year-olds have ever moved for £15m? Any at all? I bet you could count them on one hand if so.

Yaya is 4 years younger than Lampard and he is our 3rd best attacking player even though he is CM, so why shell we sell him ?


How many CM will get you 10 goals per season ?

If we aren't going to sell Nasri I'd move him to CM permanently. He can score a few goals as well. And we can then have the goals coming from wingers like Sterling or Reus .

The ideal would be to buy Pogba and give him Yaya's wage and role.

8mill is just under 160k a week
Pretty sure he'd pay zero (or very minimal) tax over there - so 45% more than he earns in UK

Plus the club would definitely overpay for him, could be fantastic for all parties involved

Yaya Toure will get 8-10 from midfield, but he also creates a huge hole defensively which teams look to exploit.

He will lose his place at City if he doesn't get fit. He should hve been dropped months back, and maybe he'd have got fit instead of fat and lazy.

I agree with that.
But since offering him a new contract, his wages are insane. Can't bench him easily when he's earning so much and he DOES occasionally need to be benched. Depending on how the FFP rules work out should be interesting to see what ends up happening with Yaya.

Agree with your comments. However there comes a time when we have to sell and move on. I feel that the time has now arrived.
