pmsl. How about a grand gesture where we tell Inter to go fuck themselves and Yaya that he's playing for the EDS for the next two years if no one stumps up the transfer fee?

Yaya knows too well we can't afford to keep his wage on the bill and play him on EDS.

There gotta be an understanding to make with Inter, near the £ 10 M that Juve paid us for Tevez.

But keep in mind that Inter are much worst financially than a club of that standing is supposed to be, they haven't participated in UCL fo 3 years now. Inter simply cannot pay Yaya a decent salary (decent by Yaya standards) if they are buying him too expensive.

It's really very simple; if you can't afford to dine in the very best restaurants, don't bother looking through the menu. Inter are like a tramp with their face stuck to the window of the George V.....get to McD's you penniless Cnuts.

They will get him though. Why shouldn't they look through the menu? We may not like the price but the reality is...no other team is really interested and keeping him is suicide.

Why is keeping him "suicide"?

Presume as he is seen as detrimental to the team, frequent negative comments, value decreasing, blocks someone else coming in etc

I don't think he blocks people coming in, since the talk is of playing him in a more advanced position next season if we do teach him. And I know his agent is a royal pain in the arse but I don't see any evidence that Yaya causes a problem in the dressing room. He actually seems to be quite popular with the other players. I'm not saying keep him but suicidal? No, I don't think it would be.

Agree with this.

I think the classless way inter have of doing business should not be rewarded, if as it appears, they have 'done a deal' on personal terms with his agent and now want him to 'force' a move from his employer without actually engaging said employer initially.

This is a general trend when Italian Clubs try to buy from England - they play it out in the media to initially tap up the player and then to eventually drive the price down. We have already been mugged off once by Juve for Tevez (by doing exactly the same) and I for one would be very disappointed if it happened again...

Why shouldn't they look at the menu? What's the point if they can't afford, or are not prepared to pay. I wouldn't walk into a restaurant with a fiver in my pocket and expect to haggle over the price of the food to suit my budget, so why should city?

You can not play him further forward.

As players legs go with age the trend is for them to drop deeper, and pick the passes. The Premiership is too competitive to carry a player like Toure.

Has to go or be dropped. I think we could just drop him. Who cares if he grumbles and his agent kicks off. His reputation is shot to pieces and he did it himself. Destroyed his stature in football. Sunday is about Lampard and the other players. Had Toure been on his game this season, the Southampton could have been a title decider not a dead rubber. I'm looking forward to the day we sell him, and I don't care what we get for him.

If he's still here August it will be as a squad player and he had better get his head around that. If he's going to carry on playing in the Premiership he had better get fit enough to run!
