Yaya Toure to Milan?

Be careful what you wish for, one of the best players to wear the blue shirt with still very much left to give. If he goes can guarantee we will rue and reminisce about what a player he was. He proved again on Sunday that he is still way above anything we have as a centre midfield.
Agree, I hope he stays and I hope that he brings Pogba through and does a season or two handover with his replacements!

Every word hits the nail right on the head. Ya Ya Toure's name is written large on every page of the history of this club's most gloriously successful era and yet we have fanatics - not supporters, but fanatics - who would rather be caught doing anything than having a decent word to say about him. His agent couldn't keep his mouth shut in 2010 when he came here and he hasn't shut up since, but he's an agent and that's what they are like. Maybe Sterling should be abused and we shouldn't touch him with a barge pole because we don't like his agent? And top players have egos and Toure is no exception. Maybe we should go for players who don't?

Toure still has a lot to give and I'd rather he gave it to us than to any other club.

Yaya's play declined a lot this season....He is truly an all time great player but we cant expect him to control the midfield in Pelle's system....His play will continue to decline now. so City need to think....if we want to keep him, we need to change how we use him.....His defensive play in the league and CL was terrible this season and will only continue to get worse when he's 32/33....if we(as fans) can take out the emotion of how we feel about Yaya and just think about the overall team performance and how we can improve going forward....Players like Yaya, Dzeko, Nasri, Jovetic need to be replaced.....this team is getting older and slower (last season showed this) and this transfer window will show how serious we really are about being No1 in Europe.....

I've been watching Ya Ya since he joined us and have to say he is a magnificent player. The stick he has and is still receiving is absolutely ridiculous, not only is he a big game player who has got us out of trouble countless times but he is the heart beat of this side.If we look at the amount of games he has played in the last year it's staggering full Premier league, Champions league, FA Cup,League Cup, World Cup & ACON. All this on the back of losing a brother to cancer no wonder he's looked mentally and physically jaded. I hate slating our supporters but some need to remember to be supporter's and not slag of our best player #together

Well looks like he's definitely staying. I hope this means a more permanent shift in formation to a 4-3-3. If Yaya sat down with Txiki and Pellers and came out of the meeting wanting to stay, they must have intimated that he doesn't need to defend anymore. I'd be pretty thrilled with a 3 man midfield of Dinho, Yaya and Pogba!

Where did you get that from?

Yaya has just retweeted this tweet:

The original tweet is from a City fan claiming to have met Yaya and been told first hand that he is staying at City:

Mate, I dont think anyone is calling Yaya and everyone would agree, what he's done at the club and for this club is absolutely amazing BUT....City won nothing this year and that's because we are sticking with older players that are starting to slow down and their play is declining and when you add the fact that the hunger is not there for some of these players.......we really do need to start looking to the future...No matter how much we love Yaya...at 32/33 years old, he's part of our past and not our future....I agree it will be almost impossible to replace him this season but we better start trying....players like Yaya and Dzeko need to find new homes before the hunger drops off completely and we are left fighting for 4th every season.....need new blood before its too late....
