Yaya Toure

He played well, rarely missed a pass and was linking well with everyone in the team. Didnt make those massive runs like last season but thats what Silva and Nasri are paid zillions a week for.

He may look like he is average now because he has not scored yet etc but in reality he is doing a very good job with Barry/NDJ/Milner. He will still bag himself some goals and assists this year when he is back to full capacity because he is a big lad and ramadan looks like it has knackered him completely.

Maybe rest him for Wigan i think, play Milner and NDJ with Johnson and Nasri in midfield and then play Aguero who can be rested for Balotelli.

Keep the players fresh for Napoli.

How constructive, let him have his opinion, I thought he played well and I don't like him that tbh. He is a good player but really overrated by some on here

I agree not constructive but neither was the op. We just had our most impressive performance in years. Against a team who will be top 5 maybe. And I can't fault any player. Yaya did nothing wrong. Plus his assist.

And how anyone doesn't like him after scoring the two most important goals in recent history I'll never know.

Getfucked;)

Lol, it's not goals that make me like a player, mario could score 25 a season but if he gets in fights with his own team, keeps getting sent off and throws darts at players(must admit quite funny) I wouldn't like him. I love players like zab and Vincent, try their hardest no matter what, take responsibility, you can easily see they care for the club and they don't moan or bicker about how there thousands of pounds a week aren't good enough.

It's the things I've just mentioned that make me love a player, if they seem lazy at times, ask for more money and or doesn't look arced in general I don't usually like him.

I've noticed a few times yaya goes 45 mins without doing anything constructive. Then if we're lucky he must get yelled at by bobby and has a good 2nd half...

Maybe sometimes it just winds me up he gets overrated quite a bit?

Lol bringer, i was just joking with johnmc about his other post, i just didn't bother unquoting what you had posted, sorry.

Peronally, i think yaya more than makes up for the odd times he goes missing.

Did I say he was shit.. NO
Did I say I don't rate him....NO
Did I say I don't like him... NO

All I noticed is that he didn't look as sharp as the other players , who were all outstanding. I still hold the opinion that he dosen't look as quick in mind and body as most of the others... YET

And yes, its probably because the other 10 players all palyed out of their skin.
FFS, no need for some the abuse..

To be honest this thread was shit.

As other stated he is taking less noticeable role with the emerges of Nasri/Aguero/Dzeko. This means he will not be involved in the end product (still had assist to Dzeko today and last game). His main role is to start the attack. People overlook but he is the starting engine for all the moves. The most underrated pass is the first to initiate the attack and he does this beautifully. Very underrated passer as he has very good vision.

One thing though is he is not like De Jong type of DM. He will not will win the ball back. He does good job of using his size to get in the way but rarely will you see him even attempt tackle. He really is box to box CM. Thus why his best partnership is someone like De Jong.

So now that he is not making those powerful runs from the midfield, or making crunching tackles or making those final passes, it doesn't mean he is less effective. He is just taking a different role that most football fans don't appreciate but is just as important to the team.

Received a letter just the other day,
Don't seem they wanna know you no more,
They've laid it down given you their score,
Within the first two lines it bluntly read.
You're not to come and see us no more,Keep away from our door,
Don't come 'round here no more
What on earth did you do that for?

don't think he likes jumping but anyway.

I think Dzeko is grateful for his hattrick with yaya's perfect pass across the goal for him, and for his 2nd goal as well seeing as yaya was the one who took the ball down on the edge of our area and played a beautiful pass out which set us off on the attack.

Some people really just love a moan.
