Yaya Toure

sorry sire to disturb your sleep but you seem to pretend as if old legs is the only issue the team is grappling with. Nasri is injured, Silva is not firing at the moment (this means that our creative outlets will be further reduced if you remove Yaya from the starting lineup), Sterling and KDB sometimes loose the ball far more than we can afford, Fern does a great job sitting back and helping the defence, so does nando at times and Delph but their game is limited in that there's be a great dearth in creativity if Yaya is benched especially with KDB out recently. In short, every body has one issue or the other and these collectively has ensured that we are where we are this season. What I criticize you about is that you try to make Yaya the scapegoat.
Silva, KDB, Nasri are now fit. They are in their prime. Toure is not. But we know Pellegrini is going to build his team around Toure.

Silva, KDB and Nasri are amongst the most creative players in the Premiership. We just need to embed them in a system. My criticism of Pellegrini is that he has predictably seen that building the team around Toure does not work. It was creaking last season. And despite a very talented squad we have not tried anything else.

I have given up on change under Pellegrini and I just hope Yaya has enough left in the tank to see us over the line to 4th place in the league and on to the semi-finals of the Champions League. That would be something

No. Aguero would be above him, in my opinion. Then it'd be close between Merlin and the big fella. Possibly Yaya in his prime would rank just above Dave in his prime; difficult to split them though. We've been blessed to have all three though.

You like to talk a lot, especially when you're basing your opinion on assumption.

Yaya is a perfect leader if you want a leader to be someone who spits his dummy out if he doesn't get his own way, threatens to leave the club/team every transfer window, lies about the club not granting him compassionate leave, slags "African" people off for disrespecting him because he didn't win the African Player of the Year award for the 4th consecutive year, slags everybody else off for not giving him respect because he's a black African and only plays when he can be arsed.

Leaders have to be honest and respectable, there's different ways of leading but those attributes are fundamental.
Yaya has never threatened to leave the club, so you can stop accusing me of "assumptions". That was always his agent and always will be his agent.

For someone who seems to be so eager to discredit the finest player we've ever had - tell me, what's your idea of a good leader?

let me start from last season. Who and who did we have? The Ferns and Yaya? Right? Yes. I won't count Lampard for obvious
reasons. You and I know that the Fern combo that seemed laudable on paper, has so far failed miserably asides the odd couple of games. It was a no brainer to start Toure last season really as we didn't have the quality required. So for me the problem was more about not having the
requisite quality in our ranks than Yaya holding us back. The last time I saw Nasri
play in CM, though a non-competitive match, it was a horror show against the the Germans in preseason. You claim that Pellers builds the team on 'faltering' Yaya but i'd argue that he builds as much with Yaya as he does with Silva who is
struggling even when played in the
center and KDB forced out wide. This players you mention are not even CMs or natural Yaya alternatives (Nasri, KDB and Silva).

The same Yaya who says his agents speaks for him? Hahaha!!!

There's no set definition for a good leader, it's an impossible question because they can come in many different guises.

Have read your posts on this topic for a while. Very little logic if any to your positions from a football point of view and you always drag his agent into it- not sure why. Is he playing for us?
Think there must be something else behind your dislike of a player who had contributed so much - he's not snubbed an autograph has he?
