Yaya Toure

Not the best but without a doubt one of the most influential.

Finished with us now, Pep arriving saw to that and very disappointed in the way he has finished his City career performance wise because I dont buy the his legs have gone line and feel that mentally, he has switched off and just doesn't give a fuck.

Thanks for the considerable and fantastic memories, just a shame the last few months have left a sour taste.

Looks like he's put on another stone over the last few weeks. Just shows he's not putting the work in at training or match days.

Yaya will be remembered for a very long time as one of the most significant players of this era. No need to wait for a few years, I included a few brief lines saying as much in yesterday's match programme. Hart, Zab, Kompany, Aguero, Silva and Yaya were mentioned and Yaya will be seen as one of the driving forces that made City a trophy winning side. He helped give us the winning mentality. I wouldn't directly want to compare any player from this, our most consistent title challenging era (though it doesn't always feel like that), with any other period, but for every Summerbee there were other 'legends' that did try to engineer moves. Even Dennis Tueart has openly talked of almost joining Tommy Doc's Utd and looking for moves elsewhere but is still idolised by many of us (much of his desire to move made it into the press at the time). No point comparing, let's just recognise the talented players who have helped make us successful - yesterday was a great example if how our expectations have changed. Not so long ago winning a trophy, drawing with Arsenal and qualifying on merit for a Euro comp (any Euro comp!) would've bee seen as one of our best ever seasons, but now we all feel let down. That's how far we've come - it hurts of course.

Just what I thought Gary, expect a PM from @Steve68 and others very soon:-)

Just read it Gary, well written and I didn't know that Kompany had equalled Tony book's record as the most decorated City captain with four major trophies lifted, cheers for that info..

He came on around 80 mins and by the 81st minute he looked the most tired player on the pitch. He's taking the piss, rinsing the club of over £1m per month.
