Yaya Toure

I wish someone would do a montage of the amount of times we've lost goals as a direct result of his attitude. I know that a lot of pundits try to find any stick to beat us with but sometimes, their analysis is spot on.

He has scored some of the most important goals in our history. He is a legend.

We all appreciate the goals and everything else he has brought to us in terms of his on field contribution over the years. No one, not even me will ever try and take that away but being a "legend" is about far more. Great player when he can be bothered absolutely, legend absolutely not.

Legend, easy. The two goals v Newcastle, the semi-final goal v those cunts, and the final goal v Stoke. Fuck anything else - those goals matter to me as a fan as every single o e of them were monumentally important to this club. Legend. However, I don't worry about how nice players are off the pitch (no, not Adam Johnson!), or don't care if they don't wave their arms at the fans or kiss the badge with tears in their eyes - you can keep all that nonsense.

The bloke is a legend in my eyes, and that's all that matters. I'm sure some of the people on here crying about a cake, or his agent, will have other players in the current squad down as legends, and I'd probably disagree, but hey ho.

The semi v the rags and the winner v Stoke. Nothing more needs to be said.

The winner against Stoke changed my life-it was that important. Always losers, finally to see City win a shiny pot. For that he's a legend-and the only player ever to adorn the back of my shirt.

Legend to me has to include off-field commitment and likability as well as what they do on the pitch. For that reason I will always see Aguero, Kompany, Zab and silva more as legends than Yaya. However he's been the most influential player for us alongside Aguero.
