Yaya Toure

Our greatest ever player. He's been such a great player for us, and will be fondly remembered forever.

The last 2 years have seen a sad dying of the light - makes me think of Ali in those final dark days against Larry Holmes and Trevor Birbeck - but in the 4 years before that he was an utterly unique force in English football. I doubt we'll ever see anyone rampage downfield scattering opponents to the wind like that ever again.

I agree with him .

Then I believe you are doing a discredit to other brilliant players that have played for us, players that work their sock's off week in week out and players that haven't looked for a transfer every single summer since joining

He has been a truly great player for us. The best player I have seen at City in my forty years of watching. Unfortunately he is no longer at that level and we need to let him go in the close season. He is wither unable or unwilling to contribute in the way that he once was and his place in the team creates shortcomings that other premier league teams can exploit; the league is now simply too competitive to play Yaya in his current condition.

I think it's hard to say greatest ever player. One things for sure he's one of a group of players who turned us from average under Hughes to multiple trophy winners. The sad thing is the issues with Mancini, Cook behind the scenes, poor recruitment where we were disgracefully handcuffed by the corrupt FFP, lack of hunger has meant this group of players didn't dominate English football for the last 5 years. From a City fan perspective that is a little sad.

That's my point. He was brilliant for us, greatest ever player is wild all things considering. He probably should of gone a year or two ago and he would of had a real legacy then, his bitchiness off the pitch and performances in the last two years has lessened it for me.
