Yaya wants out allegedly

He will be verry verry verry tricky to replace as there are no more than two or three players as dominant as him at his position in the world !

It's his versatility which makes him near impossible to replace. But I'm sure we could find another central midfielder to take his place, an even better one... maybe De Rossi.
And to replace Yaya in his AM role, well we have Milner, Nasri, possibly Hazard and maybe another new face who could wear that mantle of responsibility.

We will cope without him... we will be better next season with or without Yaya.

Two significant reasons why Yaya came to our club:
1. He wasnt getting played at Barca by the now departed PG. Apparently 80% of Barca fans now want him back. New manager new approach?
2. He wanted to play with Kolo, who has been overlooked recently and looks likely to leave the club this summer.
Ever since he arrived he made no secret that he wanted to return to Barca. His 29th birthday was on Sunday possibly he's thought its now or never to return?
I suspect RM has some replacement strategy in mind. Possibly DDR? now Roma have finished outside Europe.
He will be a tremendous loss, I love Yaya. He is a big game match winner. However I for one dont want to keep an unhappy player.

The Ivory coast midfielder told City TV: 'We have been unbelievable.

'I thank all but I think next year will be more and I hope City will become a great club in the world.

'I will think about the new season and I hope it will be more exciting than the last one.

'I think the fans may enjoy it more because now we have fantastic players, they are growing.

'They have fantastic talent and I think next year we will get more cups than this year.'

Sounds gutted.
He says "I will think about the new season" what is there to think about unless he is not 100% happy? That statement implied he may not stay.
Also saying "I hope City will become a great club in the world." He seperates himself from the club. Why not say "I hope we will become a great club". I realise his English is not completely fluent but there are some comments there that could imply he may not stay.
I am gutted about all this. I dont want him to leave but all our players have not grown up supporting Man City like most of our fans.
He obviously loves Barca he has made no secret from day one.

It seemed after the Newcastle game that he was really enjoying being here and having a pivotal role in the team. The way he spoke about the pre match chat he & Mancini had also indicates he has a v. good working relationship with the manager. Can't see why he would want to leave. And by all accounts he is happy in Manchester, getting involved in a lot of City and charity projects in his free time.

Would be gutted if he left.

I've just posted quotes from Yaya from two days ago, which have been all over the media, where he's clearly talking about playing for City next season yet people are preferring to accept the words of this 'agent' .

Can anyone explain why that is ?

-- Wed May 16, 2012 10:20 am --

With respect, that is fucking ridiculous.
Which part of 'we' do you think it got wrong ?

Either he was blatantly lying or he has no intention of going anywhere. This is about the 4th such interview he's made since the alleged Barca comments.

It's always the same on here at this time of year. People always look on the negative side.

More likely his agent is trying to maybe get City to offer a new contract, and therefore get a big fat bonus for himself.

Agent stirring it up for increase in salary shocker!

I thought him and Tevez are the highest paid players in the club.

How much does he want more !
