yaya.....

Re: Yaya - World class

Yaya can look like a top 10-5 player in the world on his best days. His most recent performance where I went "wow" was against Chelsea at home last year. He was a one man wrecking crew in that game. It also exposed how weak in DM Chelsea is.

Re: Yaya - World class

I cant remember many games when people round me weren't slagging off Yaya at half time. Even in the FA Cup SF and Final.

He's never been a player that has played well for us for 90 mins.

But he's won a few games for us.

Re: Yaya - World class

He's playing a slightly different role atm. Playing from deep and dictating the play, unfortunately a lot of people don't understand his quality passing. They would rather he ran round like little Scotty Parker. Typical English mentality.

Love Jim me, got quite a bit of nouse and skill but yeah pretty much. People just don't understand Yaya's game. Quite shocking really.

Re: Yaya - World class

I wouldn't want to lose Yaya's physical presence in midfield (not to mention at set pieces) against Stoke of all clubs.

Re: Yaya - World class

Valuable member of the side but the best is behind him and next season we must start the succession plan to begin to replace him.

Not sure why we signed him for another 5 years as his currency won't be in the mega league if he plays for us for another season after this but we shall see I guess.

Not world class IMO but didn't get enough gametime at Barca to really make his mark on the world stage but I guess different people have a different view of what is world class.

For me Messi and Ronaldo are world class , Bale has the potential to be but still has a long way to go IMO before he begins to get that tag but Yaya not for me.
