Yaya

Just think of the goals he scored many were match winners. He set records galore.
The second no was tongue in cheek.
Ha. Agree about the goals but it will always be a team sport. TBH I am warming to keeping him and using sparingly. What that frustrating game today showed was that we need a back-up/alternative that can drive through the middle, Pogba being the obvious example.

Not even a patch on Yaya still. Pogba is more an upgraded Dinho than a Yaya
Mmm perhaps but he will have to be replaced at some point and even though there is no one quite like him Pogba is probably the best replacement . I don't think Pep will have the clear out that everyone is talking about. Lots of players on contracts and will br reluctant to go and also will take time to shift them -that's if he thinks they need shifting. Yaya stays IMO

5 and a half years in kis, this shouldn't be the case!!!

Yaya is relied upon, like kompany, far to heavily, superb as he is/has been, there's no excuse to why we have no understudy at this stage, with the money spent!!

It's just ridiculous isn't it. Poor management from the top on this I'm afraid. The signings have been average since we signed Aguero with little thought into what we actually might need.

Opposition just need to kick Silva early and that's our creativity gone. Work hard and that's everything else taken care of.

The wonder goals to bail us out don't come any more either.

Spot on Zin, and I agree with your later post KDB is a different type of player.

Sometimes can't live with him but can't live without him either it seems

The problem is that his standards were so high, the drop off is noticed more, even though he is still better than 80% of the rest of the squad.

Many of our players are just average. Always have been and always will be and so you don't notice their lack of contribution as much.

Missed him today. Arguably the best passer at the club and he chips in with important goals.

His powers are beginning to wane and his stamina will not allow him to track back when needed. Be interesting as to whether Pep wants to retain him or whether the club wants his wages off the books and used for incoming players.

Will always be one of the clubs legends.
