Irreplaceable within our current squad. Makes everyone else look 10 times better when he's there. Big game player and a colossus in the closing stages of the seasons we've won the PL. Getting him fit for the rest of the season will be massive.
The problem is Yaya can't do 50% of his job role and Fernando is exactly the same, one due to physical limitations, the other due to technical limitations. Either way we need them both out at the end of the season and Delph fit as soon as possible this season. Not that Pellegrini will pick him above Yaya because he cost less.

Are you advocating playing Delph in place of Toure if both are fit? I wouldn't pick Delph over Toure either and doubt too many sane people would. I quite like Delph and prefer him to Fernando but he wouldn't have made much difference today. Toure can score and create and that's what we were missing today.
Quite simply, we're a better team when Toure plays regardless of his limitations.

I would hope the latter but knowing his opinions on Toure, I suspect the former.
For all the stick he's got, myself included I reckon he could do a job next season in a well balanced midfield that is managed properly.
Too many times this season he's been asked to do a job that even at his best he wasn't great at.

Injury is doing Yaya some good, he is finding more love :)
hahaha!!! i was just thinking that... I knew that the only way we will all realize how important he is to the team, is for him to miss a few games...
