I can't believe people advocate a midfield of Dinho, nando and Delph in some games....Yaya needs to hold their hands (and the hands of everyone else) to make three passes in succession, or to move a ball forward, or to mix something up from deep. The big man needs to stay on , I feel pep will loose our best or second best asset if he were to be sold. You don't replace world class players like YAYA, but you need to try accomadte him in certain (and note the word certain) games. Strikers, CAMs, there are many of those players around, CMs like YaYa are rare and he is what has made this team tick for the past 5,6 years

You can replace him.....but will Pogba come?

In fairness it is not really about Yaya. We are just a pretty average team when any key member isn't available.

We've become so specialized that any minor change leaves us in shambles. Perhaps it's partly Pellars fault for not having a bit more quality or perhaps it's injury I don't know. But if a 32 yearold slowing down CB is necessary to our survival, then we have a bigger talent problem than we think.

I say bring on Pogba, Gundogan, Isco and Xhaka. I don't care who stays or moans about lavj of playing time, but we really need talent on this squad. :(

There's no doubt he's been very influencial in big games for us in the past but tonight we needed players prepared to put a shift in. Yaya doesn't offer that these days.

Yaya covers more ground than most I our players. Kiev and Wembley have shown that with intelligent tactics and team selection, Yaya still has plenty to offer.

If Yaya moves on in the Summer, we will need a tremendous signing to help to fill the gap!

Totally agree, we were bullied. Also Yaya provides that link to the forwards, tonight against the dippers the space between midfield and the forwards was way too much, would have faired much better by sitting back and playing on the counter. for all the whining about him he's the only player we have that can control a game.
