It’s outrageous! I’m sat here putting a fiver on us winning the league next year! Behind the scenes and signings are looking brilliant! Let’s go, we are back!
Gotta spill the beans pal!I’ve giggled so much looking at the replies, great banter, I’m upping it to a £6 bet now!
A whole fiver? Wow, that's confidence. I'm a believer now. It’s outrageous! I’m sat here putting a fiver on us winning the league next year! Behind the scenes and signings are looking brilliant! Let’s go, we are back!
The problem is that even if we got everyone who most people want:
J.Garcia
Livramento
Cherki
Reijnders
Rodrigo
Is that amazingly exciting?
Is it KDB, D.Silva, Yaya, Sane standard we once had? Nope.
These players aren’t going to make us match PSG.
All PSG players are quick, fast and technical.
Haaland, Marmoush, Doku won’t close down defenders like they do.
Rodri Reijnders and Nico G are quick around the pitch and as tenacious as Vitinha, Neves and Ruiz.
We all have to face facts that our time of being the best is over for a few years.
This window won’t get us back.
(I can imagine this message won’t impress happy clappers but it’s the truth).

We don’t necessarily have to beat PSG though. Most teams people would accept we probably had the best team in Europe for 5/6 years and won one Chsmpions league. The players we’re being linked with would hugely improve our team. The problem is that even if we got everyone who most people want:

When I'm happy in life and getting a bit too carried away with unwarranted positivity, please can you send me a message or two to bring me right back down to earth with a bang. FfsThe problem is that even if we got everyone who most people want:

That may be so but he needs to calm down a bit instead of throwing his wonga around like there’s no tomorrow…. there’s a cost of living crisis ffs.Salford Paul is about as reliable as it gets. He is like the don of the “itk” world.

It's bad enough that they're quick, but we're totally fucked if they're fast as wellAll PSG players are quick, fast and technical.

He's also neglected to mention the quality already available to us.It’s not the truth - it’s just another opinion.
No more or less valid than anyone else’s.
What is the truth is that the list of players you’ve set out were not signed in a single window - Yaya and David Silva joined in 2010, KDB in 2015, and Sane in 2016.
Signing that level of talent in a single transfer window is pure fantasy due to the spending restrictions all teams have to work within - and I don’t think anyone on here is suggesting we’ll suddenly be a better team than the current European Champions by the end of the summer.
It’s taken PSG years to build that team after the disappointment of their Galactico era.
But the players we are targeting represent the start of a rebuild - and that is exciting for most of us.
Not you, clearly - and that’s fair enough.
But if you’re seriously expecting us to sign a group of players that will instantly make us better than PSG’s current team in a single window, I’d suggest you’ll never be satisfied and might as well find something else to do for the next couple of seasons.
