I'm not really into cars, motorbikes are more my thing, but I remember seeing a Jensen Interceptor many years ago and thinking, wow, that's a cut above the norm.
In 1968 the roads were full of boring Austin 1100's and Ford Anglias, so seeing that left a lasting impression.
A few years back, there was some filming being done near to where I live and judging by the cars that were turning up on a daily basis, it was set around 1970. There was a Triumph Stag, Triumph Herald, Ford Capri, Range Rover, then one day, a Jensen Interceptor was there, looking just as cool to my now jaded eyes as it did 50 years ago.
Still beautiful after all these years, I was reading some history recently, and the man who started the Jensen motor company was holed up in Colditz during the war, and to kill the boredom, he decided to build a glider in the loft so he could escape.
A replica of that glider was constructed using as many materials as possible that would have been available to him at the time, and it flew remarkably well.
