You'll never walk alone

Gerry & the pacemakers cover in the 60s & they are welcome to it , shite song just like Delilah & bluemoon.

Keep right on till the end of the road, for me is the best club anthem in England.

Hibs fans singing Sunshine on Leith at Hampden was amazing.

Roma's anthem, flag waving etc knocks YNWA into a tin hat.

There was a spell when fans copied other clubs’ songs, sometimes with a twist, sometimes shamelessly blindly...

“If you want a cathedral, we’ve got one to spare”. Well how many fcukin cities had two cathedrals?

“We don’t give a wiggle and we don’t give a wank. We are the Kippax boot boys”. Surely the last lines originally rhymed as in “We are the Arsenal North Bank”.

“I’m forever throwing bottles. Pretty bottles in the air.” With apologies to @BlueHammer85.

I suspect YNWA was originally a dipper dirge, thanks to popularisation by Gerry and the Pacemakers, and has reverted to the same.

If my booze-addled brain remembers correctly, it was the song we were singing in the '81 Cup semi against Ipswich. Not sure when it became 'exclusively' a Scouse anthem; the first verse especially is quite inspirational.

I've said it before, but we need a better anthemic song than 'Bluemoon' . Manchester band, the Hollies 'He Ain't Heavy' is moving or even 'Wonderwall' would be better than the dirge that is 'Bluemoon'.

Can you imagine that pantomime at every home game. Couldn’t be arsed.
