Do city have a plastic pitch around training ground ? Or else boys will look like they are fishing with bare hand .
Ffs if they can build swiss knife why can’t they grow grass ?

Pep's comment about Phil and Bernardo only needing two or three training sessions to get up to full speed was very interesting to me. I wonder how many Kev needs. I suspect it's quite a few, because of the kind of explosive game he plays.

That's very funny. Gave me a good laugh. I cannot believe that the journalist, or the editor, who invented that headline didn't know exactly what they were doing. It just cannot be innocent (even if English is not their native language). Clever, though.

kev always seems to need several weeks of games to regain top form.

Hope all the Blues over there have a great and safe trip. Oh and if our lads could bring home the 3 points...

Come on you beautiful blue boys!

Surprised we don’t have one at the CFA.
The club probably doesn’t want us anywhere near that surface. The NFL players union has been trying to get rid of the surface because the data suggests there is a higher rate of injury on that surface compared to grass. It is silly that an outdoor stadium in Switzerland uses that surface. I suppose they want it so they can host concerts at the stadium, that is why the NFL owners like it.

I wonder if it’s because of the winters they have in Switzerland. If you were constantly battling heavy snowfall and the pitch freezing rock hard grass wouldn’t do it no matter how much undersoil heating you have.

Interestingly enough the Green Bay Packers play on a really similar to surface to the Etihad. In fact, I think it is exactly the same. They do get a lot of snow in northern Wisconsin similar to Switzerland, but obviously football ends in January up north.

The issue with the system at the Etihad and in Green Bay is it is more costly to maintain than the artificial surface. My guess is the owners of Young Boys don't want to pick up the additional costs.
