Young Boys away

Not sure if this entirely correct.

Unless I'm reading the SBB website incorrectly the prices seem to match the Trainline prices say from Geneva to Bern barring some minor exchange rates differentials.

What seems to be misleading on the SBB website are the default prices to cheapest possible which looks to me that you need to purchase a further Half price travelcard in order to qualify for the reduced prices.

Perhaps @swiss_mancity can clarify.
Spot on I checked prices on both apps there’s about a 50p difference and Trainline was easy to use for return tickets Basel to Bern roughly £28 super saver. These are not flexible tickets but set times allowing for any flight delays

Gone for a hostel with breakie. Hoping it fills the belly as fast as it emptied the bank.

Flying to Koln then train down day before, back day after.
Same for us Koln Tuesday then train, back Thursday double room in Prizotel near stadium £310 pp all in seems like a deal now

I was wondering re the supersaver ticket. So, it's not like our off-peak tickets, where you can travel on any off-peak train, but for the specific train booked?
Due to land in Geneva at 1.55pm, so will leave a bit of time to allow for delays.

Yes that’s correct set times only as always off peak is cheaper. We’re on 2.15pm from Basel to Bern which was actually the cheapest option available.

Anybody going and using railways get the train app get your journey booked , I made the mistake of not doing this got a train from Hamburg to Leipzig cost me £240 one way , whilst a couple of lads who had booked weeks earlier paid £18

Booked trains just now. Was still 120quid return from Koln/Bonn to Bern and back. Decent enough. Plenty of time to fill my bag with cheaper German food ahead of Switzerland prices...

Seems Tesco Mobile and O2 have roaming without charges in Switzerland and Germany. Every little helps.
