Spot on I checked prices on both apps there’s about a 50p difference and Trainline was easy to use for return tickets Basel to Bern roughly £28 super saver. These are not flexible tickets but set times allowing for any flight delaysNot sure if this entirely correct.
Unless I'm reading the SBB website incorrectly the prices seem to match the Trainline prices say from Geneva to Bern barring some minor exchange rates differentials.
What seems to be misleading on the SBB website are the default prices to cheapest possible which looks to me that you need to purchase a further Half price travelcard in order to qualify for the reduced prices.
Perhaps @swiss_mancity can clarify.

Yes that’s correct set times only as always off peak is cheaper. We’re on 2.15pm from Basel to Bern which was actually the cheapest option available.I was wondering re the supersaver ticket. Due to land in Geneva at 1.55pm, so will leave a bit of time to allow for delays.
