Your best day as a City fan?

My best day was winning promotion at blackburn.....the conga and the pitch invasion that followed.

My proudest day was winning the FA cup

Same for me! That Blackburn game was truly amazing, the whole of Ewood Park was just full of city fans even in their ends and on the hill, we should have been about 4-0 down by half time with Matt Janson hitting the bar about 3 times alone but then all of a sudden we just turned it on and i loved what Kennedy did after he scored running to Joe Royle.

Thats definitely the day that always stands out for me!

I always think back to Boxing Day 1977 against Newcastle and the return of Colin Bell. So glad I was there.

More recently the day the footballing gods decided we'd suffered enough and City bounced back to beat Gillingham in the Play Off Final.

Yes that was a special day at Maine Rd when Colin Bell came on during the match 4-0 was the result, all of the ground just erupted in applause as he came on, good day..............

Got to be the Denis Law backheeler into the scoreboard end in Stretford in April 74.

The atmosphere at that match was incredible. It made the nerve wracking semi at Wembley earlier this year seem like a pre-season friendly at a non-league club in comparison.

FA cup 2011 it was the only time city made me cry for a good reason ;-)

But the 1-6 was pretty damn good tho, was'nt it?!?!

even though the 1-6 was the same day as my birthday it still has to be Gillingham, awesome day!

Gillingham just edges last years FA Cup final for me, mainly as my Dad was there.

At the play off final I thought he was showing his age by the way he was walking to Wembley. Turned out he had two half bottles of whiskey in his socks so we didn't waste valuable drinking time at the bar.

With two minutes to go we were soaked through as sat on the front row in the rain. He was sat there looking dejected and I just said to him something like 'this is what you've put me through for all the years'. After penalties he said 'yes, and that's why it feels so good now'. Admittedly very cliched but we were bladdered and it seemed deep at she time.

He died in Aug last year so missed the greatest season in the 30 odd years we'd been going to the game together. Going to Wembley for the FA Cup final was pretty emotional for me, particularly as I was in virtually the same spot as in 81 although think we were at the opposite end of the pitch and I was seated instead of being stood on a big concrete step.

Far too many that stand out.

Wembley 1999 - when dickov hit the back of the net, that feeling was surreal! And then when weaver saved butters penalty, there are just no words to describe it! The train journey back that day was unbelievable!

Chester city away FA cup 2000 - mainly because I was the mascot ;)
And after scoring every shot on goal in nicky weaver the blues behind the goal singing "sign him up" which was awesome!

Blackburn 2000 - my mate was one of the ones on the hill and actually offered me his mobile phone for my ticket pre match. When the entire darwen end ran onto the pitch, ended up bumping into him after all the ones on the hill rushed into the ground when the gates opened at the riverside stand as the home fans were leaving.

York City away 1998, what a day. Actually have a programme signed by malcolm allison from that game that I'm currently looking at right now. Will always remember that day my dad was in the boozer pre match with kevin kennedy (curly watts to all you bandwagon jumpers :p)

Last ever game at maine road, seeing people taking signs, ripping seats and turf, and bricks. Quite funny lol.
I ended up buying my seat of 13 years from the platt lane when they were selling them for 12 quid each.

Munich anniversary win at old trafford. Strange day, especially being applauded by the reds to my right in the ground after the brilliantly observed minutes silence.

Obviously the 6-1 when we were the only ones left inside old trafford with 20 minutes to go ;)
And obviously the feeling of lifting that silverware in may!!!

Nice trip down memory lane there, probably loads more that I haven't mentioned, but some of the away games in the 90's were unbelievable!
