Your best day as a City fan?

Some may say the game against QPR. I was at the ground and watched it all unfold. To be honest, that was a horrible day for me. Far too much of an emotional rollercoaster and various things went wrong that day.

For me, it is unquestionably the 2011 FA Cup Final.

Beating the Rags on the way

Excitement of getting to a final

Tears running down my face at the first note of Abide with me

Great atmosphere

Relatively stress-free game

First time I had watched us lift a trophy

The celebrations of the fans

The celebrations of the players

The '00 Years' banner being paraded on the pitch

Seeing the magnitude of the day etched on Blue's faces

The people we met after the game

The night out

Loudly singing City songs while staggering around Marlybone not knowing where we were

Ringing my dad after the game (he's a Rag)

Watching the recording when I got home and crying

Knowing that the club could no longer be laughed at for not winning a trophy for 35 years

Knowing that they would have to remove the banner from the Stretford End

It dawned on me that we are inevitably going to be a force in the Premier League

I didn't want the night to end

beating Charlton for promotion was a great day, running from the Kippax across the pitch and standing on the dug out... great day

worse far too many to remember but Luton my earliest shit memory

Do you have to pick a day?

I want to say the whole 2001/2002 season where we scored over 100 goals and tallied 99 points with Keegan

Can't remember when we won the league but I remember being in a beergarden of a pub in Fallowfield and it was a roasting hot day...there were cars beeping their horns and flag waving everywhere...it was a top time to be a blue

Other than the obvious days...

Benarbia and our atmosphere in the last half hour, after a close game at first, was something special. great piss up in Sheffield afterwards

again, we turned it on second half and the atmosphere was amazing:

great piss up when we got back to Mcr after the game

Absolutely MENTAL celebrations for that late goal that meant we were pretty much safe from relegation...and again the piss up in Newcastle afterwards was brilliant, stayed the night and had a top one!

Loads like these days^, they're top days for being a football fan.

Two great seasons, that one and the one after - the last two at Maine Road.

Ali B, Goater, Wanchope, Berkovic, Huckerbee SWright-Phillips, winning the league, scoring a record amount of goals and nearly getting 100 points, hammering Ipswich away in the cup after they'd relegated us the year before ("you are the weakest link...goodbye" banner)...then signing Foe and Anelka the season after and finishing 8th in the Prem (winning the last MR derby that season). They were two great years! Football was a lot cheaper, away days were a lot rowdier as it seemed like we were a fanbase of loads of young men in big groups together. Just great fun them two years. Very nostalgic feeling about the history of our club to the time as well as we were leaving MR.

28 February 1976 League Cup Final

I was eight years old. Watched the game on telly with my rag dad and brother. Denis Tueart's overhead kick won the game and that was it ... I was City. Despite everything, I've never regretted that decision. We never take the easy path and I kinda like that about us.

That, and AGUEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The 6-1 thrashing or AGUERROOOOOOOOO. Goes without saying.

As part of my coursework for communications I have to gather research on my chosen topic to be made into a mini documentart, obviously had to choose City.
If anyone could take the time to fill out my survey which asks similar questions to the title of this thread, it would be much appreciated.
Thankyou
