Your best day as a City fan?

Re: Your best day as a City fan??

FA Cup semi final this year. Partying night before with Summerbee in hotel bar. Hanging with mates before game... singing in the pubs beforehand. The match itself was brilliant... And night after - with Noel and various City staff... then closing bar with Summerbee and Marwood. Singing "you'll do what we want" until hoarse. I'm still on a high after those 24 hours.

Loads really.

Going to Platt Lane training twice a week.
Scoring for City (tough to beat that)
Ballboying at Maine Road.
Watching Kinkladze every other week at M. R
The last derby at M. R
Meeting Keegan and all the boys, and unveiling the Thomas Cook banner on the halfway line at Eastlands.

Best...Wembley F A Cup Semi vs United. Legendary day. Flew over especially for that as my uncle got me a ticket in the Blue end (the brilliant bastard). Can't make it back often so cherish every 'day as a City fan'.

Only games I was at.

1. Fa Cup final
2. Gillingham 99
3. Blackburn 2000
4. Fa Cup Semi Final V Rags
5. Fa Cup Semi final v Ipswich
6. Fa Cup Final 81
7. Rags 5-1
8. Charlton 5-1
9. Portsmouth last home game under keegan
10. Rags 3-1 under Keegan lst Derby at Maine Road

I too went to all those games (apart from Ipswich) and Blackburn remains a favourite, along with the 6-1.

Wasn't it Bolton? A dire 1-0 defeat IIRC and Keegan went a day or two later.

tough question, after much deliberation has to be 1999 v Gillingham, been working away since 2000, so not actually at a lot of recent great games, though Spurs 5-1 away and winning promotion at Blackburn would be up there
