Robert! Oh christ its like my mum's telling me off all over again. I've grown into mine, bob, Bob's an older guys name I always thought, but I'm getting oldish so it's more fitting now.. over the years i've had Bob, Rob, Robbie, Bobby, even Lobby! But she was chinese who used to call me that

Happy with mine but part of me would have like to be call Harry after my dad and grandad. I'm Gary so it's close lol

My Dad used to call Eccles cakes Fly Cemetery's, put me off them for life :-)

My parents both truly hated the names they were given. My mother was Mona. My father was Cyril. I never once heard anyone can them by those names, and it was years before I knew that they were called anything other than Peter and Micky (as in Michelle). Right to the end of their lives.
Occasionally, I've had to get copies of their birth certificates for administrative requirements. It's quite jarring when I see those names.

I was called by my middle name until I was about three, then my parents decided to change to my first name.
I only found out when I was 52. It felt weird when I fund out.

My dad was called by his middle name his whole life.
