Mrs Totale is a violinist in an amateur symphony and we go and see the Cleveland Orchestra perform probably 20-30 times a year. I’m absolutely no expert in classical music, but I do enjoy almost everything and lean towards the two bookends of baroque and 20th century American composers. I do know that Handel’s Messiah is shite though and I never want to hear it again. It’s a never-ending dirge.

There are so many classical pieces that get to me and a few are already put foreward in this thread.

Maybe a bit different, but since I saw the movie “Human” ( must see if you are really interested in people ), my choice of classical music was happily extended:



Byambaragal is a female singer from Mongolia.



Minassian is a duduk player from Armenia. Duduk is a very old wooden flute, used a lot in Arabian music.
