Wagners Ring des Nibelungen , yes I know its 15 hours but it is a stunning masterpiece.
Very proud of her. She is the titch in white at the last curtain call.I'm sorry I missed this in Sunday, but I was watching the footy anyway. I'm looking forward to catching up with this later on this evening.
Carol of the Bells is so evocative of Christmas, that it never fails to bring me that special festive feeling of light, life and warmth, in the midst of everything cold and dark, and the doom and gloom of the world. The scene in Home Alone where this song features always brings a tear to my eye.
Thanks for sharing this, and I'm sure your daughter-in-law has done a great job in putting this together.
Yeah. Very proud moment for you and your family. I'm looking forward to it later.Very proud of her. She is the titch in white at the last curtain call.
Very proud of her.
I had both on. Football on tv, concert on iPad!
Ive always loved this. English composer Edward Elgars "Nimrod" ......You will probably know it, its 4 minutes long.
Its part of his Enigma Variations.
Each variation was written to describe his friends musically. Nimrod is a fabled biblical hunter, which Elgar thought described the personality of A Jaeger, one of his best friends.
Its called "Enigma" because Elgar said every movement was based on a much more famous melody, up to date no-one has definitively worked out what.
Sounds particularly good on headphones.
Rhapsody in Blue at the LA Olympics in 1984 was sensational! An American in Paris
Rhapsody in Blue
Gershwin.
