shooting animals is a bit nasty

why not act like real men and use your fists?

What guns do you admire?

I have to say that for usability and the pure simplicity it would be the Webley revolver. It may not be a looker but its so reliable and can stop a man dead over 20m away. Its very British and has stood the test of time like no modern handgun ever could. It conjures up memories of Michael Caine blasting Zulus in the film ‘Zulu’.

The colt 45 semi auto is one of the best modern guns I have handled, and is a future great.

Anyone else like to throw some into the mix? Discuss.

do they check you at the gates before games?

I don't pack heat at all times, so no would never take straps to games.

Now I shoot small game with an Air Arms s 410 with a good scope - I never miss.

Occasionally go deer stalking in Scotland and we shoot .65 calibre rifles - supplied by the estate.

410 is a shot gun calibre which dont normally have the range to need a scope.
those deer up in scotland must be 'kin huge to need .65 calibre bullet, a Sharps buffalo rifle was only .44 magnum. The Barret 50 cal needs a muzzle brake as big as a coke bottle and hydraulic recoil dampers so a 65 cal jeez that is some artillery.

The s410 is an air rifle (doesn't refer to the shotgun cartridge):

Your rifght about the calibre of course, I'm no expert on ammunition, but .65 does sound very big.

years ago, I was told that the police had reccomended the use of heavier bullets in certain areas 6.5mm was mentioned - but I'll check it out
