Your favourite gun?

no but id put money on the people who use guns for crime get hooked on the power they have over people when holding a gun therefore we have gun crime, banning them wont solve it neither will giving everyone the right to bear arms like the yanks have done, the only way to do it like anything else is to find the source and stop them but the consequences of this could be fatal i reckon, these illusive WMD's whos to say that arms smugglers have'nt got them

More guns per people in Canada i believe and they dont have much gun problems. Like you say its not the ease of having a weapon its the mindset behind the people that have them. Banning doesnt work, i would say more people in the country have handguns now then they did before the ban on handguns. I for 1 love shooting guns in contolled enviroments but that doesnt mean i would take 1 out on the street and shoot someone dead with it

Many years ago my dads mate used to take me to a firing range at belmont and let me shoot all kinds of stuff, 44 magnum, colt 45 and black powder stuff, I also went to altcar rifle range for long distance shooting with some bolt action 7.62 rifles, got pretty good at it after a while. I lost touch when I left school then heard they banned most guns apart from shotguns and hunting rifles.

Being in them bunkers doing the targets was pretty cool listening to the bullets wizzing over your head.

i bet brookie is pissed it's got to 9 pages and no-one has mention the NRA, typical americans, the ku klux klan, or kids listening to backwords words on metal album lp's before shooting themselves in their own heads

still time yet, i suppose.

The NRA is a powerful org in the USA as people have right level of respect for their weapons. Over here if you keep/like guns you're seen as some kind of nut.

SMG.....if it's good enough for George Lucas, it's good enough for me. Mind you, it probably helps that it was my personal weapon in basic training in 1988!

the NRA are an organization, but very outdated

there mandate is still the constitution, which was a different time and a different place.

I would like to be able to carry arms in this country for defence, but the law says otherwise so I hold replicas. I would feel safer if I could carry the real thing.
